It has been quite some time, hasn't it? This draft came out to about 14,000 words. Coming back to this story after not having touched it for so long was kind of a tricky thing. I had to go back and reread and figure out what I was doing. I remember feeling like this chapter had to be that moment of excitement when you first go through 'the doors'.
I wonder if you will feel that way?
Part of me feels like there is almost an Aperture Science-level grandness in the scale here sometimes. I love that idea. But like, when there were still people working there and it wasn't taken over by AI. Have you ever played the game portal before? It was a mind-blower when I first touched it. Fond, fond memories of exploring that world.
