Hi Jon, thank you for the kind words! I'm so happy you enjoyed it haha :D Personally I think 10-bit is a luxury, not a necessity and I'm planning to make a video on this in a couple months. My videos consist of footage from many different sources from my Sony A7III, GoPro Hero 8, iPhone 15 Pro and since just a couple weeks a Sony A7IV (my A7III has become quite old). Of these cameras only the iPhone 15 Pro and the Sony A7IV can shoot 10-bit. The Sony A7III and the GoPro Hero 8 are both 'only' capable of 8-bit. So the majority of footage from my channel, especially the videos that are not from Japan (where I began using the iPhone a lot) is shot with 8-bit cameras. It's only in 2024 in the Japan videos that I began mixing in 10-bit footage from the iPhone. And it is only in the last video, the one with the FBI segment, that I used the Sony A7IV for the first time for the talking head shots and the FBI sequence. And I must say... I do not notice a difference. I think 10-bit becomes crucial once you do stuff like greenscreening that requires extra colour precision to perfectly mask out the greenscreen, however for everything I do it is a luxury, not a necessity. And if you think my videos have looked good, then you'll be fine with 8-bit. This is a bit of a spicy hot-take, but here we go: I read someone's comment on reddit about them being fed up with the Sony A7III's 8-bit and are sooo happy to finally shoot 10-bit footage. But in my opinion, if their Sony A7III is making problems to the extent that they write such a thing, I am afraid they have a skill-issue, not a camera-issue. Maybe after some time I will notice more and more how the Sony A7IV's 10-bit footage is superior, but for now it hasn't exactly impressed me and I've been doing just fine with my Sony A7III's 8-bit footage. I hope this helps you out! :)

Hi Teo, I have just seen your latest upload on youtube - with the FBI youtube Ad haha!; it was really really awesome as always! Anyways, I'm just wondering, do you use 8 bit or 10 bit color depth when shooting all your videos? I am curious if it makes that much difference when using one over the other. :)

Hi Philipp! When using Premiere Pro it's luckily very simple :) My videos are in 4K, so when I export a video for YouTube I simply choose the H.264 codec and then the "2160p UHD YouTube" preset that Premiere offers. Instagram on the other hand doesn't take 4K videos, those are only 1080p. Hence I'm editing my IG Reels in a 1080x1920 pixel sequence. Then when I export it I choose the "1080p FHD YouTube" Preset and then close by below there should be a button that says "match source". When you click that the resolution will change to the vertical resolution of your sequence and it's ready to go!

Hi, I don’t know where to ask this, but what are your export settings for your videos? Is there any difference for each platform (Youtube,Instagram)? I plan to make IPhone videos specifically for Instagram, but that part I know the least about >-<
