2025-09-03 03:05:03 +0000 UTCMaybe this is the way that you are going... but many of the security outfits in my area (San Antonio, TX) use off-duty police from all the various police agencies, SAPD, BCSD, TXDPS, Texas Rangers, many others as their rank and file (staff) enforcement. The shift coordination requires an AI to do the spreadsheet, but many local high need protection establishments use a coordinated off-duty cop detail. This might play into the procurement of a local high PD official to coordinate a lucrative off-duty assignment where the "betrayal" chance becomes insignificant. Maybe even the offer becomes a chance for a reversal.. you are offering me a bribe? Imagine an off-duty Texas Ranger response to such an offer.
