Intemperance Book VIII illustrations 2/2

Here is the second half of the illustrations I did while editing and formatting Book VIII for publication. Two NSFW shots in this bunch at the end. If you have not actually read the book yet, you probably should not look at the pictures until you have done so.

All rights for the story are mine as long as I don't sign them over to someone else.

Al Steiner

Have you kept the movie rights to this saga I think it would do well on Netflix or Amazon or something

Peter Kelly

story please.

Unctadsk

That's the most important part anyway (I mean having fun, bug being safe counts 👌🏼)

Matthias Urlichs

I am quite safe. I live in the central valley outside of Sacramento. Wildfires are not a concern at my location but do happen near where I work. We had enough rain in our part of the state that wildfire season is over for us until next summer. Down in southern California, three hundred miles south of us, they received very little precipitation over the fall and winter months and they're burning.

Al Steiner

The technology is definitely not there yet, but it's the best I can do since I have zero drawing ability of my own and I'm having fun with it.

Al Steiner

He does look somewhat horrible. That doesn't change the fact that some areas of his skin are too blemish- and wrinkle-free. In particular, the area around his chin and mouth could (almost) belong to somebody half his age. Not a Matt-only problem and not a criticism of your image creation/selection — AI image generation simply isn't there yet(??).

Matthias Urlichs

I hope you are safe and nowhere near the fires.

Bob Galinsky

No. You are correct. Just stating an opinion! Amazed that an opinion is so offensive as it wasn’t meant to be. Your story and writing has far more creation and pictures in my reading than ai photography, again in my thinking. Many people enjoy a book more than a movie. Sorry you feel I insulted you.

Robar

Matt is only 45 years old in that picture. I think he looks horrible, as he should.

Al Steiner

#20 Wow, finally a woman lying down whose breasts look, well, like those of a woman lying down instead of like gravity just took a step sideways. Will wonders never cease … Oh yeah, and Matt here doesn't look remotely as bad as you described him. AI-averaged-out (thus too smooth and blemish-free) skin hits its limits here?

Matthias Urlichs

Actually, the school colors mistake was my fault. I researched what high school Caydee and Cap would go to and their school colors, but typed green and blue into the AI box instead of green and gold. I appreciate you pointing that out.

Al Steiner

I enjoy the fact that you are trying new mediums. I really wasn't taking umbrage as to your renditions as much as I was trying to understand the limitations of the AI program. The colors of the high school were apparent to my AGHS alumnus wife as she walked by and saw the screen. I live in that section of the coast and so want to immerse myself in your wonderful story, so it jolts me when I see an alternate reality of geography, realty, distance, civic mores or social hierarchy. But, such is the freedom of writing as it introduces us to heretofore untold thoughts and constructs. Once again, "Thank You" for an engaging story that I and many others look forward to its next development.

Larry Martel

Thanks for the reply. I've heard about the difficulties of consistency with AI programmes, overall I think you and the Missus got it right. Happy New Year to you and yours.

Darryl Graney

I did get Jake to look pretty much exactly like me and Mrs. Steiner envision him. Keeping his hair color consistent is one of the challenges of AI Jake, however (Celia's skin tone is another). It is amazing how the very same description (long, light brown hair) gives a different result every time while keeping the actual face the same.

Al Steiner

This shot puts rest to the rumor that Matt's black Strat is enchanted by Satan in return for Matt's soul and is the only guitar he can play.

Al Steiner

I have trouble getting a wedding ring on someone's finger or the correct amount of limbs and you expect geographically accurate flora? I couldn't even get the road to go uphill despite multiple requests for it to do so. It took three tries just to get the sign correct (did you notice there is a crow sitting on the sign? At least the fauna is correct). The illustrations are fun and I try to get them as accurate as possible, but there are serious limitations to the program. For those who are hyper-anal about fine detail in the illustrations, that is never going to happen.

Al Steiner

I'm sorry. Did someone force you to open the illustrations and look at them? Did I ask for a democratic vote on how I spend my free time? If you do not like the illustrations, don't open the posts. It is quite literally that simple. You are not being charged for them and most of the patrons enjoy them so they will continue to be posted. They do not take any time away from writing as I only work on them when I am done writing for a particular session.

Al Steiner

Tired of the illustrations…the story Is my whole reason b here

Robar

I get that you are enjoying the ai stuff. I enjoying the story far more. I'd say let the Ia go and just tell the story

Robar

Just wondered what parameters you used to create "Central California Coast flora"? The point of view is entering the property. Wouldn't the plants be closer to the ground as you get closer to the cliff? At the most, you'd experience scrub oaks and sage, as eucalyptus was not planted near erosion-prone cliffs. I know it's an imaginary scene of a nonexistent Oceano cliff, but little details eschew any reality. But, perhaps the contrived reality is best. Nice vision for the pics.

Larry Martel

So clever & yet so dumb. There may be some value in creating the elements with AI then montage them with Photoshop??? Good luck.

Paul Barnett

I'll take a shot at it but I fear that would be too complex for a program that cannot even put a simple wedding ring on someone. I tried to do one of Caydee flipping off the pap, but it could not understand the concept of flipping someone off no matter how I described the gesture. The closest I got was a clenched fist with an extra finger sticking up from the back of the hand (and not even in the middle finger position).

Al Steiner

Liking those. I'm just re-reading book VII & thought how much I'd like to see the album cover for Never Say Never.. doable? Please?

Paul Barnett

Again the art is great. I'm chuckling over Matt playing a red Strat, and 'Black Beast' (as I've always thought of his Strat) being appalled at the betrayal!

Adam Driscoll

Love the illustrations, but I always sort of imagined Jake as either a Jeff Beck or a Jimmy Page looking bloke. I think you absolutely nailed Matt and Coop.

Darryl Graney

I'm just happy she has fingers at all, and in the correct number.

Al Steiner

Not sure if you can fix it considering how hard it is for AI to do fingers, but Caydee has adult fingers in the ANZ shot where she's holding a cookie.
