Canon Illustrations

The next chapter is well over half written. I work the next two nights (Saturday and Sunday) and will hopefully finish it up on Monday or Tuesday. In the meantime, I've finally figured out the intricacies of the Artspace.AI program, specifically how to lock onto a particular face for use in all pictures of a particular character, no matter what age. I've included some pictures that my Mrs. Steiner and I settled on for various characters and will share them with you now. We did have a little trouble settling on the photo of modern day (2004 era) Matt Tisdale. I've included three different shots of him onstage with his Strat. Give me a vote on which one you prefer if you care to participate. The program is not perfect and does not understand some things. It occasionally gives someone an extra finger or does not put enough strings on the guitar, or other such oddities. I apologize if such mistakes are distracting.

She had been assigned to assist the band at the beginning of the project with things such as coffee making and sandwich fetching but Nerdly had taken her under his wing when he realized the untapped potential she held. It was rare that the two of them were not together when actual mixing was being done." I did forget she wore coke bottle glasses so I can add that to the illustrations, but I never described her as unattractive in any way. Matt refers to her as "homily" a few paragraphs downstream of the above, but Matt is most certainly an unreliable judge of feminine beauty. In his mind, if not dressed as a slut, they are homily. Several times as the character progresses I have had other characters express that she is actually more attractive than she typically portrays.

Her innocent looks and ability to do a realistic fake orgasm are why she was such a star. I did initially describe her in book 1 as having bolt-ons, but revised it in later editions and have maintained that since.

It's hard enough to get the program to put the basic instrument I want into the shot without missing strings, the wrong color, or other such details. trying to get it to put an actual correct Strat, Les Paul, or saxophone into the shot is pretty much impossible I have determined.

I am very happy with the Laura, the Jake, the Celia, the Pauline, and the Nerdly. I was unsure about the Matt but both Mrs. Steiner and I thought Jake number 3 was the one we envisioned for 2004 Matt but I also like the first 2 versions and thought I would put it out for a vote. So far, Matt 3 is leading the polls with a wide margin. Polls will close with publication of the next chapter and I will post a younger version of Matt back in his prime for comparison. I also have a few Rated R shots of Kim, Meghan, and a few others I will post at differing points.

DA DA DA DAAAAAA!! hehe Okay, the pic of Laura running from the sea lion? Nice sexy bod, but it looks as though she's laughing! Wasn't she pretty terrified? I was chased by a SEAL and was terrified! heh I like the first set pics of the band more than the most recent. Looking at Pauline with the towel makes me wish I were Obie! Sharon in the studio looks as though she's 12. Sharon in uniform is AWESOME!! When can we see Celia nekkid? Al, you've told us many times that she has the best tits on the planet. Let's see 'em!! As I mentioned once before, this IS an erotic story, no? The pic of Celia and Laura kissing in bed? 8 stars out of 5. VERY romantic. I ran all three sets past the wife (she who must be obeyed [by me anyhow]) and she picked Jake in the first set over Jake in set #3. She also liked Nerdly in set #1 as opposed to set #3. In all honesty, I agree with her. While she's gorgeous, Caydee looks like a doll! Those eyes! Wow! So, I'm sorry. Mixed reviews I know. Mind you, I LOVE all the pics, despite preferring some over others. It's absolutely a GREAT thing to get at least some visuals to go along with your literary creations. So thank you, Al. P.S. I LOVE the pic of Caydee with her guitar!

How often do we watch a movie and remark, “The book was so much better.” And thus the end of humanity begins, one seemingly innocent pixel after another. (Sigh) I’m going with ‘road kill’ Matt, but that guitar…I can understand not using ‘Fender’ but black is black and no stage light is going to change that; three pick-ups (no Humbuckers!), one five way pickup selector switch, and three knobs for volume, and pickup tone (middle and neck pickups) and even if wireless the transmitter still needs to be plugged into the input. My apologies for excessive nit-picking (and the over compensating mega truck wheel is too far forward). Sorry

Most of Intemperance talks about the lifestyle Matt lives, and in his case, it's not the years, it's the miles. IMO, he should look prematurely old after decades of heavy drinking, smoking, and LOTS of drugs. To the point where he had a heart failure and keeps a paramedic on staff, just in case. The rest are fine, but I also still think Nerdly is too...handsome. He looks like a catalogue model. I just can't hear his dialogue coming out of that face.

I think the eyes and cheeks don't quite match the rest of the face, like it's been obviously shopped in from another photo. #1's face looks closer to how I imagined Matt in my mind's eye, but the hair should be much longer.
