INTEMPERANCE VI - Chapter 15, I Found It On the Napster

As promised, here is chapter 15. We delve a little deeper into the Napster subject (as the title implies) as Jake and the rest of KVA struggle to come to terms with the reality of it. Also, Jake becomes a Reverend. Who would have thought? Let me know how I'm doing. Things are starting to get deep. And it seems inevitable to me at this point that I won't be able to wrap up the story of Intemperance in another ten or so chapters. It looks like a Book VII is going to be required. I am not deliberately drawing things out. It's just that I want to tell the story I want to tell without rushing anything.

Hey thanks for the chuckle and flashback. I spent all of my youth listening to KROC! ...Though it is in Rochester MN not Reno. :-) They even played one of my requests on a Saturday night though it took me about 20 calls to the request line to get them to do it. (Children of the Sun by Billy Thorpe).

Someone at National would have to be the one to release them, since that's the only place the recording exists. And I've already described the security measures at National's vault, so an unlikely scenario at best.

Once again, the potential for low comedy presents itself. The Napster issue is clearly important and the release of the unheard demo tunes understandably has National's tits in a flutter... but could you IMAGINE how they'd react if the fake tunes Intemp submitted to get out of their original contract were to surface online? Imagine "Fuck the System" sweeping the nation! More seriously, National would (at a minimum) try to enact the non-disclosure clause it insisted on to claw back all the extra revenues Imtemp got through its new contract... which would utterly terrify Matt, given his tax burden and precarious economics.
