"Jake and Pauline had kept in regular touch with Jim, Marcie, Jeremy, Steph, and Rick since the release of their debut album eighteen months before." I think I remember in Book IV Jake mentioning that he hadn't checked in with them in a while. I can try to find it if you want, but it might take a little time. Kindle reader for Web search function is king of flakey.
