Really enjoyed this chapter. I liked how you set the stage for Jake and Celia's coming success as well as the other band members forming a band. Loved that Matt was the only one that picked out Jake's contribution to the "Struggle". I wonder if you planted that seed like you did with Darren when they told him a secret, knowing that Matt would blab and inform the public to cause excitement. Enjoy Alaska.

2019-06-04 01:27:55 +0000 UTCWhere I worked as a paramedic, there were quite a few openly out of the closet and proud to be there lesbian medics -- perhaps a quarter or so of the total female workforce. My characterizations of them, here and in previous stories, are mostly composites of the ones I've worked with over the years. I do have a considerable amount of affection for this character type in this particular profession and believe I have portrayed them honestly and with respect.

I'm curious, is there a specific person these are based upon, or are there enough lesbians in the profession to create a composite? You seem to treat them with a certain fondness that suggests a genuine friendship.
