2019-08-24 13:18:31 +0000 UTCI made a comment in the video suggesting that you try this again but using a thin wire mesh or screen as the launch surface. Keeping it up off anything solid should show if there is a "ground effect" on the thrust or if it rights itself due to some other force. The video got so many comments I figured I would repost the idea here in case it got lost in the traffic in the video comments section.
