So, I'm moving again in a couple weeks (ahhhhhh) so I've not had nearly as much time to be working on Reckless Sympathy as I would like, but I wanted to show off a few things I've been doing at least.
I've been plucking away at the script for Part 1, which is where I'll actually be able to introduce our three heroines. I've rewritten it a dozen times at least at this point, moving the order of events around and fiddling with the central conflict. It'll set the mood for the whole game, I want to be sure to get it right! Most of what I've written before has been extremely short, so it's taking a bit of adapting to wrap my head around keeping everything straight for a long story. I've also been reworking some of the sprites that showed up in the little demo I put out last month, but I'm not convinced I'm happy with them yet so I'm not showing them off.
Attached is some process looks at a CG from early on in part 1 that I finished working on the other day. Anmarie, our hero, and Glory, chatting as the sun sets with no one around.. how nice! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, though I have to say, CGs take a looooot of work. There's only one me after all, and I have a lot of drawing to do.
Anyway, that's all I've got for now. I'll have more coherent stuff to say next time probably, when I'm not exhausted from packing for a move. Part 1 feels so far away, but I'm gonna buckle down so that I can finally show people why I love these awful girls so much!
