I think MK will learned a little about Asriel past,and will in turn well strengthen their relationship with one another. I also think MK will try and help him with Frisk help allow Asriel to slowly mend his past and ultimately be allowed to let his past go. This probably explains why his soul is having a hard time mending. He is still allowing his past to creep back into the picture leaving him in a state of unforgiving himself.
