The black and white reminded me of Atnomen (incredible comic oh WEBTOON, I highly recommend checking it out!) and worked well with Jacob looked shook and Quincey like a boss! His eyes really jumped out at me and made me gooey over the incredible detailing yet again. Then surprise again! Jacob and Erdene know they’re in a clan? Absolutely did not see that coming and I LOVE that instead of going all hidden about it, it’s out there in the open for the two of them. That Poppy doesn’t have to hide that part of her job. And now I desperately want to go back to the club arc and re read all of their interactions in it, now knowing what I do. High key love me some open communication, it doesn’t dull the story at all, just adds to the suspense! Jacobs little jab at Tora was brilliant! He’s not wrong in fairness, he does scream, “I’m in the mafia.” And their little bromance moment in the background was a lot of fun. Looks like Tora’s friendship circle might be getting larger. Fingers crossed! Erdene’s totally non plussed reaction to it too was a relief I didn’t realise I needed. I guess for those native to Narin City, it’s not a huge deal. Just something you hear and let go over your head. Very unsurprised Gil doesn’t know, or that Quincey deliberately kept it from him. Pft, pft! The look on Quincey’s face and Erdene’s sweat drop at the mention of Tora rather dying than admit how special Poppy is to him. This is going to be so much fun to watch them all watching Poppy and Tora dance around each other while secretly gossiping together. Reining myself in, I like the insight that came with that part. That normally Quincey solidly hides his identity, but knowing having Poppy know was important to Tora, really added so much without saying barely anything. Flawless! The levity didn’t stay for long, with the conversation turning deep quickly after that. There was a lot of pain coming from Quincey reflecting it’s not an easy choice that Poppy is caught between. I wonder if we get more background into Quincey too? I hope so, I’m very intrigued! It’s incredible how it all rolls back around to the notebook, and we still don’t know where it is. Well, with Erdene putting it all out like that with everything Poppy has been through recently, I had to take a huge breath to relax, cause she’s just had another layer of crap to add to it with granny in hospital too! I’m going to hold on to Quincey’s words and wonder just what and when things will come to an end. I’m buckled in and ready for the ride! Moonbright!! I’ve been really looking forward to seeing more of Poppy’s home town. And getting to see sassy granny too. In seconds you can see where Poppy gets her feistiness from! And who didn’t yell with joy when she called out Julri and put him in the dirt along with us?! But after that, I was immensely uncomfortable with granny. Guilt trips are instant triggers for me, and having granny try and pull that on Poppy rattled me. There’s very clearly something she’s not saying, but instead of being honest with Poppy’s trusting her to make her own choices, she’s making them for her and going about it all wrong. That being said, it’s nice to see she’s not a perfect character, and Poppy stand up for herself. But why did she sign herself in with her maiden name? Why was their address swapped in the system? More fuel to the theorist fires burning bright!
