Update on AB and MPL (Pt 2)

Edit: To those AB fans who've decided to stay on for now (thank you!!), I will continue making AB Secret Garden comics and side stories because I still have a ton of ideas that I want to work on. Although they will just be sketches and not coloured (I'll colour them if I have time). I'm just letting you know, just in case.

I was advised to only reveal all this when the contract has been signed, but I hate not being able to be upfront about things with you guys, so I've decided to release this piece of news in advance. And also I wanted to tell you guys about this before the upcoming episode of AB so that I won’t get anyone’s hopes up.

The deal with Webtoon is pretty much confirmed, and all that’s left is for me to sign the contract. And with this, what’s going to happen with AB is that I’m going to wrap it up in 2 episodes by the end of next week.

To explain everything in the simplest way possible: After deciding to accept the Webtoon offer which was supposed to take effect immediately, I requested for a delay of 3 months for me to work on AB, but my request was rejected. So I begged for an extension, and was eventually granted a couple weeks more to finish up AB. And this was why I had to cancel the final MPL episode - so that I could start immediately on AB and complete the last 2 episodes by the given deadline. 

So back to AB. 

With regards to the last 2 episodes that are coming up, please rest assured that I have done my best to write out the story and script in the best way I possibly can, and produce the best art I possibly can. And I hope the final episodes will provide a satisfactory closure and story ending to you guys. 

For those who aren’t aware, AB was created solely for a 6-episode-long Webtoon contest last year. I never expected AB to get this big, and garner such a (relatively) large fanbase. And because I felt responsible to all these AB fans, I decided to continue on with AB. And because AB is the story I’ve always wanted to write, and the art is what I’ve always wanted to make, I fell in love with it and poured my heart and soul into its creation. Which was how I ended up having to juggle 2 webcomics. 

So guys, I am just as upset that AB is coming to an end so soon. But this doesn’t mean it’s the end of everything. After MPL is finished, I might just pick up AB and re-write it into a long-form comic. Maybe in a year or so, when my term with Webtoon ends. 

I fully understand also that some of you might decide to leave because AB is ending soon, and I’d like to thank you for your support and love. It means the world to me, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

And lastly, my apologies for all these long updates that I've been making.  Tbh, I really want to just work on comics, but because so much has happened (and is still happening) over the last few months for me, I feel the need to make these updates to fill you guys in on what's happening. Hopefully this will be over soon and we can get back to a regular routine again. 

Anyway, I’ll end this here before I say more than I should. An ex-patreon commented recently on Webtoon that I’ve been making excuses that they got tired of and left, which, tbh, got me pretty upset. Because this is really me trying my best to be accountable and answerable to everyone on this community.
