Bows, Pros, and Cons Poll
Added 2024-06-21 01:12:22 +0000 UTCWe have been trying out a LOT of different solutions for the bows. We want them to be interchangable, since many folks have more than one flag.

Minky Bows:
Pros: Softest, most plush, stretchy band does not need snaps, could help hook the plush to a lanyard.
Cons: White shows through on the edges because of the way the Minky is printed, making it less polished looking. Colors a little more muted overall.
Nylon Stuffed Bow with Front Snap
Pros: moderately plush, brighter colors, clean smooth neck band
Cons: snaps show sometimes, bow sags a little, sometimes the stripes don't connect perfectly at the seams
Nylon unstuffed Bow with Back Snap
Pros: Stripes always consistent because there are no seams, bow never sags, snap easier to use, bright colors
Cons: less distinct or consistent shape, often pinched, no plush feel, snap is quite visible on the back.
Ruled out:
The plush is too small and squishy for magnets
If the band was part of the goose, and only the bow snapped onto the band, we'd have a goose that's less squishy and versatile. Since only some pride flags can share band colors, minimum quantity orders would drive costs up.

Minky will definitely be the best to cuddle with, I know a lot of people who don't like nylon against their skin. And yeah you could take the bow off to cuddle it but then it's just a goose.

2024-06-21 14:57:19 +0000 UTCI'm also curious how the minky might respond to being touched up with markers? If it's just at the edges, adding a tiny bit of color with sharpie or a fabric marker might be an easy fix for the buyer to apply themselves if the white bothers them

2024-06-21 14:06:10 +0000 UTCRather than a plastic snap could you do a small hook and eye closure? If placed correctly the strap ends shouldn't have to overlap with each other. Love this little gander! Thank you for making them!
