I had no idea what to do until last night; until I had a sort of vision of this! It literally made me jump in my chair, like "Eureka!" XD
The statue was in fact a young servant, cursed by the queen of the castle she was working at because of her beauty (that the King had noticed and started to woo).
FR: La statue était en réalité une jeune servante, maudite par la Reine du château où elle travaillait à cause de sa beauté (que le Roi avait remarqué et avait commencé à courtiser).
