Mammal Squad project update for November 2024!
Added 2024-12-02 02:50:25 +0000 UTCAck!! Already almost late to give a project update! It had completely slipped my mind! Since we're almost late on this, lets get right to it! November was a pretty big milestone for me! It was the most feedback I've gotten for my channel and Mammal Squad, and it's all been so exciting! For the first time, a lot of hard work is paying off. I'm super happy about it, thanks you guys!!! Now, on to some of what I've been working on for the third episode!
If it wasn't already obvious, the third episode is going to be focused on our giraffe boy Gerard. Like all the others, bits and pieces of his characterization was shown in other episodes and smaller videos BUT this is gonna be the episode where you get the best idea of what he's all about.
The script has been pretty much finished since April 2024, with revisions and tweaks being done to it over time. All of the voice acting is done, with just a few retakes being needed here n there. The storyboard has also been finished recently, about a week ago in the time of writing this! What's been being worked on now is model sheets, turnarounds and character/prop design, which really shouldn't take long at all! I'm aiming to be finished with all that in a couple days.
Background sketches have started, and it's a huge step up from the first two episodes (mainly because I have little to no involvement in them this time around!) The backgrounds in total come up to 39, which is less than half from the Lika episode.
Animators have been gathered up, with there being 12 that will be working on the episode! I plan to give out scenes to the volunteering creators this month, after half of the bgs have been sketched. Not all of them have Adobe Animate like I possess, so this episodes gonna be a bit of an experiment for me... to see how well the different programs can flow together to create the episode. If it's hellish, I won't be doing it in the future.
Things like music and sound design have not started (obviously) and are only in the idea stages.
Gerard episode is looking to be 12-13 minutes in length. Another long one! Let's see if I can pull off another good one! ;w; (For Subway members) If you wanna follow the production for episode 3, I am (and will be) posting all sorts of visual progress up over there! When animation starts it's gonna be a real fun time over there hehe.
The Popcorn episode, the one after this one, only really has the ending planned but the synopsis is not even there yet. My goal is to have at least an outline for him by this month.
So that's about all I got. Happy Holidays!!!! BYE!!!!!
