Monthly Aux Hangout - Soon (like tomorrow morning)
Work progresses on projects

Merely a comment, but save your voice all the same. I expect any art of Carlos Jones to have him wear an "I'm with stupid" shirt with an arrow that *always* points at the captain.

Hello Tex, it’s been awhile but did the urgent move and things seem to be settled somewhat for now. So I just have a what would you want question that I hope you won’t mind. So if you were in a position of money being good enough that it is taken out of the equation, knowing you would have to work with your personality, what would be your ultimate dream job. The “love it so much it’s no longer work” job? I know you have mentioned ideas like a movie or game company in past talks. Just curious what work do you think would make you feel most fulfilled and happy?

To go with your opening statement about the interesting state of the world, I have had to forcefully remind people that there is no qualifier to be treated like a human being. *Save voice at will. Kinda the opposite of fire at will. Excited for the Black Knight. Absolutely doing my best to mind my business. Working on a video similar to your BattleTech history types, one that I don't see anyone else has really tackled, and I'm a tech at heart not a historian so I'm struggling with the research part. Tips are welcome. Spending some of my own money on an artist to get some unique art made for it - not going broke, just enough to have a little extra spice added to it. Love being in the BPL Aux, appreciate all you for creating it. Made friends, played games, did dumb stuff in Elite Dangerous: Fun times all around. You guys keep doing what you do as you see fit. The world is a better place for having all of you in it.

Hi Tex, feel free to save your voice, and thank you for the reminder on the project progress. I've had to narrow my own project scope a bit for the year, (in hindsight I bit off more than I could chew in a year where my oldest son moved out and my oldest daughter graduated high school), but but I'm 7,700 words in on the SciFi novel I've been meaning to write for the last 25 years, and intend to have at least the first draft done before you and the team release the Black Knight film. Also, because like Mike said in a past BPL podcast, "Without challenge, there is no growth.", I'm training to run two marathons on back to back days in October. Finally, thanks for re-uploading the "lost" Traveller episodes 10 & 15. Ep 10, especially, although that seems to have disappeared once again on Apple Podcasts. Those continue to be tremendously entertaining, even if I can't listen to them while running due to the need to stop and breathe from laughing so hard. Please keep on doing what you and the crew are doing, it's much appreciated.

Hey there Tex! Engage any voice saving protocols as needed. So just recovering from spending my 40th birthday pondering life and drinking, thinking about choices made, both good and bad, across all those years existing. Got me thinking on a question, though if it's too personal, feel free to skip it. By any chance, miracle or technological advancement you are able to sit down and speak to your younger self (lets say 15 years old). What would be the one thing, the one advice, warning or sumsuch, that you would give yourself? No lottery numbers, no telling about future events. Just something that you'd have appreciated someone had told your younger self. In any case, back to nursing this hangover. Stay safe, stay true, and once more, kind regards from Portugal!

Good evening Mr. Tex. So, I technically have my first ever true gunsmithing project, buddy of mine's shotgun isn't working. It's been pretty thoroughly neglected and I think gun grease solidified and is likely sticking the firing pin in place. Point being though, some parts outside the barrel and tube magazine have rust. And I've never dealt with that, I keep my guns oiled and I clean them at least twice a year even if they don't see any use. From an actual gunsmith to a dumbass with a fancy set of screwdrivers and a gun cleaning kit, any advice on the best way to remove rust from gun components? Both internal and external.

Santo
