I had a battletech tabletop question...so I've been getting into Alpha Strike and my daughter played with me and a friend and I was using a mob of tanks vs two atlas', two rifleman, and two Phoenix Hawks. I ran 4 Pattons and 4 Demolishers....I noticed i played a lot differently than normal...I was VERY aggressive, turn two I had split the tanks into two combat teams and started mugging mechs. If I'm using mechs I play a little more conservative, have you ever experienced this? I'm guessing it's because I know tanks need to make up points quickly since they aren't as durable as their stompy counterparts. Point of pride though...my daughter saw a tank and her first instinct was to stomp it with her P Hawk...I was very proud

2025-04-24 18:54:29 +0000 UTCI think if you wanted someone from the 1970’s to understand what AI was like in 2026 I’d have them watch John Carpenters Dark Star. Pretty sure Bomb 20 is running a LLM. I would be interested to know if Dark Star was one of the inspirations of Traveler.
