Adjusting the Queen (Jumbo Index)

I have now adjusted almost every court card for the Jumo Index faces. The Queen of Spades was the most difficult to change.

I used the court card from the Black Roses V1 2022 Edition since these are the most recent face cards with all 4 colors. In the first step I cut out everything inside the frame.

After that I placed the cut out Queen onto the new frame for the Jumbo Index faces.

I have adjusted the height so that it fits flush. Except for the cut spade symbol, it looks almost perfect now. But I wouldn't be me if the real work didn't start here. I don't want the hand, rose and scepter to be cut like that. That's why I duplicated this area and removed everything around it.

While editing I realized I can't just move everything a bit more into the middle like I did with every other card. I kept the yellow line, which then helped me as an orientation.

And here comes the part that is really hard to explain. :D I placed everything on a new layer/group over the Queen. The whole thing looks a bit messy, but this is where the fun really begins. Now it's just a matter of combining all the layers neatly.

Short modification in between. I wasn't happy that the yellow line reaches so far into the middle of the card so I reshaped the line. I simply used a green color to see everything better.

A few minutes or hours later - I really never look at the time - the card was finished. Yes, the Queen is still holding a BR V1 card in one hand but these details get changed in the final stages.

With this post, I wanted to give you a little glimpse of how much work really goes into each of my cards, even if it doesn't look like much in the end. Paradoxically, however, this is exactly what I like so much about it. To the layman it may look like little and that is totally fine. I know that you know it better.

Thanks for reading, but even bigger thanks for your interest and support!

Much love

Daniel
