There will be two different MxS Casino decks. One with a red seal and one with a blue one. Red for the regular edition and a blue seal for all stripper decks. At this point I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain to you what a stripper deck is but here is a quick explanation from Wikipedia:
A stripper deck (also known as a tapered deck, wizard deck, or biseautΓ© deck) allows the magician to control the main location of a card or group of cards easily within the pack. Even after being shuffled into the deck by a spectator, the magician can cut to a selected card.
When I started doing magic, I was introduced to the stripper deck as a beginner deck that requires very little sleight of hand. A weapon for amateurs/beginners. But let me say one thing - that's bullshit.
We rarely see custom playing cards which are also stripper decks. Right now I couldn't even tell you one single deck. I don't want to say it is sad, it only shows me that it is a completely underestimated weapon and that most people don't even know how to use it properly. That's why we have also only ordered 500 stripper decks for the beginning to see how many people are interested. Madison and I we share the same fascination for gambling / card cheating and with the Casino topic of our new deck it was the perfect start for our first stripper deck.
It's not my goal to bash USPCC's pricing policy, it makes sense that they focus on bigger print runs but I don't want to leave unmentioned that 500 blue seals cost us $500(!).
I got the idea for a different colored seal from USPCC's gaff decks. I didn't know that their regular stripper decks have white seals. So USPCC offered us to add their white seals for free onto our stripper decks. A difficult choice at the beginning. It makes sense to use white seals when the USPCC stripper decks also have white seals - and they are for free! Or paying $500 for the blue seals that we really want. And this was already the answer for me. I didn't want to change our design, just to get something else for free. Just a little fact that you hopefully may appreciate when you look at the deck.
Another fun fact, long before Chris did the Orbit decks (almost in another life) he released a stripper deck DVD: https://youtu.be/zQoqzf-mCOI
Thanks for reading.
