Beauties, the current plan is to send the Black Remedies to USPCC still this year so that we have them around March / April 2022. This month I've been working intensively the improvement of the deck. I'm sitting on the smallest details for hours, most of which go unnoticed again. So the question of "why" is only justified. It's like a competition only with the difference that I just try to beat myself. I wouldn't be happy with the final product when I know I can do it better.
I've changed all 56 cards in this deck already. But the changes on most number cards are so minor that I'm pretty sure they won't be visible on the printed deck.

I've adjusted all "numbers" from Ace to King since some of the numbers where a tiny bit longer or shorter than the rest. That's the first detail you won't be able to see in the printed deck. But I also reshaped a few indices. If you look at the Q on the right you can see the lines are cleaner now. I've also reshaped the Spades and Hearts pips on the corners. I don't like the elongated shape anymore - that's how the pips look like in every standard Bicycle deck. I also don't like the rounded edges anymore. You can see on the right, everything is a lot more crisp now.

The blue and the green Remedies have a different face on the Queen of Spades. A while ago I made a poll on Instagram which card would look better. To my surprise way more people said the card in the Red Remedies would look better. I liked the Queen from the blue and green Remedies more because the drawing style it was closer to the standard court card design. But since we have used the card in the last three decks now (it's also in the MxS Casinos) I wanted to bring back the Red Remedies Queen. To be happy with the card I knew I have to redraw her. It took me a few attempts over several months but it seems like a few days ago the universe wanted to work in my favour and I could finally finish the card.

Besides the face you can see a few other nice little changes. One of the biggest change is probably the card with the back design that the Queen is holding in her hand. I think this will be really useful for even stronger reveals.
Thanks a lot for reading.
Much love
Daniel
