Recovery At Last!

Sorry it's been ages. There's been a lot of things going on with us and a lot of stuff to sort out, but we now have good news.

Tom has recovered enough to resume work and has been editing with me for about a month now. Since we moved house last year, we haven't been working together in the same physical location, which has evidently strained our output. Because our working relationship has evolved over the years and we've been able to fine-tune our strengths and weaknesses, the seperation disrupted our flow. But we now have a quite office tucked away together, just like old times!

But for various reasons, we thought a separation might help productivity and in some respects it did. As hard as it is to believe, I've spent nearly all year editing something or another, Scooby Doo, Hamlet, Pugwash etc. But when Tom became really ill in the early summer, it became a secondary concern. A very difficult time to say the least.

But he's much better now and I agreed that upon his return he could choose a source material that would wet his appetite for coming back. That source material turned out to be Winnie The Pooh! For years, we've thrown around ideas for a Pooh YTP and we now have something that we hope is going to be a real banger, that'll serve as a comeback video after an extremely arduous 10 month absence.

Progress on Pugwash has been continuing very well too. The challenging Davy Jones masks are now complete, (minus two shots) and a ton of other assets also prepared. But that has paused due to Pooh, as we are now both working on that YTP together. We apologise for all the frog-hopping this year. It's done our heads in as much as I'm sure it's done yours, too. But looking on the bright side, we now have a lot of videos with considerable progress done on them, which means there will be a quicker succession of releases going forward.

Fittingly, we are aiming to have the Pooh video out this month because we MUST get something out before this year is done. And once Pooh is out, Pugwash (before Christmas 🤞) then our commitment to TRXN's Scooby Doo Collab in January. We've been in talks with TRXN and he's been extremely patient and gracious about the situation and he's postponed the deadline until we get these two videos out.
