Roast Beef has begun a new interview series in which he asks the gang their beliefs about utopia and heaven. For some reason, he decided to kick things off with Nice Pete.

Comments

For the next hour I write the phrases “I think” and “I would” on sheets of lined notebook paper, then cross them out very slowly and deliberately while reciting, “the tiger eats the belly of the worthless dog.” Golden.

Aaron J. Rushton

Furiously memorizing the "I cannot know Heaven" paragraph to drop on some unsuspecting friend or relation

Chris Barrios

I laughed hard at this. Thank you!

Noah Chase

And Then I Am The Winner.

Crumbles

Ah yes, just what I needed on this long holiday weekend: to be utterly terrified by a fictional cartoon cat who is also a murderer.

Colin Sueyres

I'm so intimidated by Nice Pete I had to read this with my eyes closed.

Julie (HiDeeHoGal)

I never thought of Nice Pete as having a specific accent. More a… cadence.

Ben Sunshine-Hill

Nice Pete speaks to control not to commune, like lonely important people.

Nathan Hall

I can’t hear the accent I always imagined anymore.

Geoff Hayton

great stuff here. you’ve got all the voices down pat still.

Meadow Green

Make sure you speak of the best way to introduce yourself to new dormmates(when Pat goes to jail and meets Pete,)

GruntyGinMan

He is so much more menacing in the interviews than in the strip. I was thinking the other day about "Would you like to correct it?" and how the way it was delivered made my hair stand on end

Mike McMahon

I feel like Nice Pete might not be the biggest fan of Upspeak?

Damn. Nice Pete is giving out solid lessons. Honestly, I may paraphrase some of this for my English classes when we discuss diction and the importance of word choice.
