Catching Up With Charlie Brown
Added 2023-05-05 17:00:04 +0000 UTCIn this short story we look deeply into the contemporary adult lives of Charlie Brown and Snoopy, in their shared apartment. Watch in wonder as they discuss a fight between a neighboring couple, pheromonal reasoning, civilization, and who is allowed to use the kitchen. (4,281 words / approximately 10 pages, a meaty piece.)

"Lucy, who had earned her JD at Yale, and who now held a team of young intellectual property lawyers in sustained panic at Pixar, had married an energetic mountain bike-type guy named Drywall Paul, who installed drywall" The perfect thing to write, ever.

2023-05-08 12:28:03 +0000 UTCThis was incredibly good as a capsule of sadness and contentment and the wholeness of the world, it caused me to rub my cheeks with the palms of my hands in excitement every few minutes, between bites of my cheeseburger empanada (an experimental flavor, I believe?) from the place a few blocks away. So much so that I worked up to leaving an appreciative comment in some echo of the style which reading Achewood for thirteen years has permanently encoded in the folds of my brain.
