Catching Up

Hey all! Happy new year! Been a bit, so thought I'd do the due courtesy to let you all know whats up. If you're just interested in the game news, feel free to skip the next 2 paragraphs ~

If you're not plugged into my other social outlets, it might be news to you, but this holiday season has been especially busy for me, not just with work life but in home life because of the pregnancy. After a couple days of prodromal labor and false flags, the real thing kicked in on the 2nd of January. After 32 hours of contractions, several of which were active labor and 2 of which were active pushing, our child was born! (woof!) (And on my 30th birthday! A coincidence I'm still reeling about, just cosmic butterflies in my belly, haha)

We delivered a healthy happy baby and while recovery is going to take time, all things considered as far as birth in the American health care system is concerned, it went pretty well lol. We're adjusting to life as new moms, so this is the first time I've had any real time to sit down at my computer the last few days. Turns out to no surprise, newborns take a lot of attention and work. It's only been the last few days have we got our child to be able to sleep in their bassinet on their own at all, prior, they could only sleep if held. Sleeping in shifts, no sleep, covered in milk and messes. It's been a challenge, but wholly rewarding.

Anyways. Just want to lay it out, I may not have an update out on time this month. I hope to, but can't say for sure. So keep that in mind for your support (As appreciated as it is). Tonight was the first time in almost two weeks I've opened the project because of the aforementioned life events. Making some progress, but I'm behind and my attention is very clearly more focused on my child, so, thats that lol.

That said. I've taken time off work, my focus is going to be my baby, but as we adapt to our new schedules and routines I'll have more time at home to work on things. Hoping to have an update out soon as it was half finished before the birth, but we'll see. Bare with me, and thank you again for your support and interest in my pet project. It's a boon for sure and I'm eager to share it when I can ~
