A few of our friends got together with the idea of releasing a free Halloween collaboration for the community to enjoy this year, and we’re excited to share what we’ve been brewing in our cauldron! Written by Dagonzo Adventures, scored by McRoMusic and illustrated by Zach Moeller, Papelchemy and Divination Illustrations, this VTT-optimized release is loaded with festive content to make game prep easy for a holiday-themed game.
Additionally, Foundry VTT users will be happy to find a fully-integrated module with walls, lighting, animations, linked tokens and actors, (super cute) items and music, all free of charge. Get the manifest URL here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yeop0my15ghz93p/module.json?dl=1
The Festival of Lights and Frights is a Fifth Edition adventure designed for four to six characters of 3rd to 5th level and is optimized for four characters with an average party level (APL) of 4. This adventure is setting agnostic and can easily be inserted into any setting or campaign of your choice, or it can be run independently of a campaign.
Fall has settled in across the land, with leaves turning amber and brown, harvest festivals cropping up in all manner of villages and farms, and the creeping chill of winter just around the corner, the party is on their way to the nearest town for a quiet reprieve in between adventures.
What they don’t know is that, just off the beaten path, hidden from the prying eyes of humankind is a town of monsters who have come to co-exist. They have their own trade, cultures, and most notably the seasonal tradition of the Gourdington Lights and Frights Festival, where children go from door to door seeking sweet treats, the villagers participate in games and activities, and the town celebrates another year of peace and prosperity – set to have its 500th anniversary!
But something is amiss in the cozy monster town of Gourdington – monsters’ children have been going missing around town and the mayor is determined to get to the bottom of it.
