You put this beautifully – I loved that season 11 ends in an 'everyone lives' scenario and gives Sam and Dean room to grow out of their old cycle.

You know, I find it really interesting your take on how the show ends, and your thoughts on it being... not as hard hitting, because they let Amara live, and let Chuck live. I always felt it was so hard hitting because of the exact opposite. When you talk about the show being about making the hard choices, I completely agree, but in the totally opposite way! In my opinion, the boys breaking the cycle of violence, choosing not to take the kill shot, is them making that hard choice. I think, because their lives are so violent, so filled with death, it is too easy for them to make the choice to take the shot, or kill the creature. I think, for the boys, choosing to not be what Chuck wants them to be- killers, hunters, monsters, but beings capable of discretion and nuance and choice, is a hell of a lot harder, and that, to me, is why the ending is so perfect for them, and fitting to their story. Breaking the cycle, by Sam letting Dean go ultimately instead of breaking every single rule to bring him back, or Dean refusing to shoot Jack, or, this season, not taking the kill shot, was always the point of Team Free Will. That being said, i really like how you see the show, and I love your insight. I love that Supernatural is so subjective, and the way one person might see it, is totally different from how someone else might see the exact same thing. As always, great reaction! Also, no, Sully does not make a repeat appearance, so I think Sam getting the win for Just My Imagination works. I would argue, for the fact that he faces what he is so terrified of, by admitting it to Sully and explaining/acknowledging the situation and why he is so terrified. And then deciding that he has to follow this lead. Facing that kind of trauma, that amount of abuse and the tormentor who did it all takes an unimaginable amount of courage and strength, and being able and willing to bear that kind of strength I think gives Sam the win. As for where Michael is, remember this isn't the actual Cage. Rowena pulled Lucifer's essence from it, but left Michael behind in the real Cage.
