And this is the reason why Gillian Anderson threw up the "deuces" on The X-Files and the character Dana Scully initially right after the show ended. She did not like how the Scully character was treated towards the end. Her new interest in the show again is due to new direction of Ryan Coolger.

Scully doubts the existence of miracles, just like in "Plus One" when she denied the existence of evil and ghosts, or spontaneous human combustion in "Familiar". Mulder in the revival is now a hardcore atheist since "Babylon", when in fact in the original series he never rejected the idea of a God, he just rejected Christianity and organized religion, which is a huge difference. And the storyline itself is just weird as hell. The funny thing is, when I first saw the episode originally, I liked it much more than I do now. One good thing about it is the dialogue at the end, for sure.

Please, give it some loving thought <3 And yes. This episode is something...but the final M&S dialogue is, in my opinion, one of the most honest, beautiful and mature they had throughout the entire show!
