She's not wrong the number of porn thumbnails I've seen with the scream mask is ridiculous (and sometimes Jason) especially this time of year.

This movie is a meta commentary of the horror genre. Its written and directed by Wes Craven who directed such classic horror movies like The Last House on the Left (1972), The Hills have Eyes (1977), Swamp Thing (1982), A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), The People Under the Stairs (1991), and Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994).
There are so many references to other horror movies its almost annoying lol. There are so many overt ones but then there are so many subtle ones. Like Billy Loomis being obviously named after Dr. Loomis from Halloween and at one point Tatum saying "You're starting to sound like some Wes Carpenter Flick." Which is a combination of Wes Craven and John Carpenters names. John Carpenter being the director of Halloween (1978), The Thing (1982), Christine (1983), They Live (1988).

I'm sorry if my traumatized life is an inconvenience to you and your perfect existence! Is probably my favorite quote.

'Fingering' someone for a crime is "pointing" at someone. Its an old timey lingo, usually seen in 1920ish new york mob/mystery films; flapper era. As in the cops show up and ask who did this and everyone points at who did it. Everyone is using their 'finger' to accuse.
