Game of Thrones 2x4

Hilarious every time lol

Jacob Livingston

Renly is still top 5 favorite characters in the book for me. I still like the show version but it’s a bit over-the-top and doesn’t represent his book counterpart fully.

doesn’t matter

Love seeing people's reaction to the birth of the smoke baby.

Jonathan Blaze

Not because he served as a great companion in the dark souls verse?

T.wiley

I don’t remember which episode y’all were talking about people complaining about the amount of reacting. Not to defend every asshole, but I think the general sentiment is they don’t like when you talk over dialogue or potentially important visuals about non-show things. Cuz it can be easy to miss a lot of things even if it’s explained again later, and then you’re not as able to make predictions.

Adam Barker

I sinc up the playback using Youtube so the singing along with the theme helps me sync better

Brittany Henry

Okay I'm back lol. Crazy ass few weeks lol. This is one of my favorite episodes for reactions. Fuxin pussy demons are scary af. Great reaction. Love yall.

Andrew Clifton

You killed me with this reaction. You both crack me up. I feel like your reactions just get better and better.

Sara Something

Meli got that demonbox sheeeshh

I hear you, edited so it's not so spoilerish

True enough. Renly is very different in the books, more of a charismatic, muscled bear than an insecure, skinny otter.

Christophe

They also have trouble writing gay characters as anything but effete fops

JD Sharpe

this is such a pet peeve of mine. saying what WONT happen is a spoiler! giving tonal hints for future episodes e.g "the next episode is so disappointing / scary" is a spoiler! deeply annoys me that people think spoilers are just "saying stuff that happens"

Kara

up her "sleeve"

Joe Blankenship

Rains of Castamere goes hard

Patrick Fangmeyer

Up her.....

Patrick Fangmeyer

That list gon be doing back flips by the end of this 😆

Xavier Chandler

Or up her dress 🤫

Queen Marjory is played by Natalie Dormer, when done with this series, do the 4 season 38 episode the Tudors from showtime, she plays Anne Boleyn and is incredibly hot in that series

The one small change they made from the books which I find really annoying is that everyone knows that Renly is gay. Even freaking no-name soldiers. You could reasonably read the books and if you weren't paying close attention never pick up on the fact that Renly is gay. There are only a few lines here and there that allude to it and it seems like only the high nobility that know Renly well are aware of it. And it's kind of treated among them like an open secret but not one that you speak about so directly. Littlefinger would never just come out like that and talk to Margaery like that. In general, I'm not a huge fan of Aidan Gillen's portrayal of Littlefinger but that's also partly due to the writing. He's much less subtle than in the books and is therefore too obviously slimy and scheming. In the books, he's charming and witty and mostly seen as too harmless to be a threat which is exactly why he is one. Also, it's generally called the shadow baby in the fandom ;-) the existence of shadow babies is generally the biggest impediment to those few, but very vocal, fans who think that there actually is no magic in the story (except for dragons), that all "magic" is just advanced medicine or technology. Kind of hard to explain the shadow babies though.

Christophe

The reason Ser Davos is called an Onion Knight is because during Robert's war he would smuggle food, mostly onions, to Stannis at Storm's End.

Andrew

The fact that you say it's a deus ex that never comes back again IS your #4. They haven't seen it! Stop saying what will or won't or might happen, let them watch it!

Damien Lupo

And so dementors entered the realm of men. This message was brought to you by the lord of the light's devil vagina magic.

Brian West

Been a while since I thought about Barbara manatee. I think she stole my cheeseburger.. gotta ask Larry about it.

Brian West

Oh, that red woman... always something up her sleeve.

Joe Blankenship

As interesting this weird magic might be and the "pus*y demon lmao" it is a weird plot device that I was never a fan of. it serves to establish : 1. How powerless Davos feels knowing no matter what he does he can't stop the red woman. 2. The show, showing us how powerful she really is 3. That magic and gods are real which wasn't established earlier.

Elesh

"p***y-demon"--LMFAO

Chris Bruneau

leitmotif’s are what you’re lookin for, they’re the musical cues that can be changed around to represent different parts of characters and places, the theme that we usually hear with the Stark’s is kinda just the overall theme of The North, as there must always be a Stark in winterfell. A personal favorite of mine is the Rains of Castamere, the Lannister leitmotif, Tyrion sometimes hums it

cat named toebean

The beams on the cage in Harrenhaal have heads on them lol

Damn, I’d forgotten just how grody and grotty that shadow demon birth scene was, with the fully nude actress and the quivering belly and the claws reaching out from within. Yeesh. But man, I would imagine it’d be a whole different viewing experience for a woman. As for learning more about Melisandre, all I can say is buckle up, it’s going to be a VERY bumpy ride.
