great reaction Arianna.

I really like these "what if"/alternate timeline Tarantino movies. This and Inglorious Basterds. I wouldn't mind if he made another one. And he really nailed the 1960s. This movie looks like he went back in time and filmed it. And I love how the TV show scenes are shot like a movie, instead of pulling back and making it look like they're filming an old western TV show

Joe Blankenship

Love me some Elisha Cuthbert.

Joe Blankenship

Would be dope if they were the same universe though haha

I am not a particularly big QT guy but this and Django are definitely my favourites of his. Leo plays Rick with a lot of vulnerability and makes what could have been a pretty one note character, so damn likeable and real. He manages to be vain and over emotional but also a good friend and someone who just wants others to appreciate him. It is such an underrated performance and even small things like the stutter he has as a character works so well.

Zane Platt

Nvm I got some shit mixed up 😢

Xavier Chandler

We already did mexico??

Fun reaction...what a movie. When Leo blows up at himself in the trailer is amazing. Leo - for the whole film - is on fire. Sidenote: The Girl Next Door is an absolute ride or die classic. The tripod is strong & the always consider if the juice is worth the squeeze.

Mark Lecuyer

Dont worry the girl next door, is most def "Juice is worth the squeeze." Fun movie also

Hello they should consider watching the old westerns particularly the dollar trilogy and more particularly " for a few dollars more "

I love this movie! I grew up in the LA suburbs, and was 12 years old when these events took place. For the soundtrack they listened to many hours of sound archives from KHJ -AM, where the "Boss Radio" format was created in the late 60's. So along with the music the DJs ("Real" Don Steele, Robert W. Morgan, and Charlie "Tuna"), the station jingles and the advertisements (for products like Heaven Scent perfume and Tanya tanning lotion) were real commercials from the time. All of it comes together to make this evocative of the time for those of us who lived in SoCal at the time. Margaret Qualley played Pussycat (she is Andi McDowell's daughter and was recently in Poor Things and the mini-series Fosse/Verden). In my head, even after he became famous playing Elvis, Austin Butler will always be "Tex" Watson (sorry Austin). Damien Lewis played Steve McQueen, at the Playboy Mansion, he was talking to Dreama Walker as Connie Stevens (with the short hair I thought at first she was playing Joey Heatherton). The "live band" at the party was Paul Revere and the Raiders. Of course the women Sharon is dancing with are Michelle Phillips and Cass Elliot, the female half of the Mamas and the Papas. Of course the Cliff/Rick half of the story is fictional though both characters evoke other actors from the time (Cliff's wife's death is reminiscent of the death of Natalie Wood -- her character even mentions a sister named Natalie -- who drowned on a boat trip while off the coast of Catalina Island and was never solved, though many suspected her husband Robert Wagner). The story of the Manson cult and of Sharon Tate and the murders is meticulously presented up until the 3 murderers encounter Rick and Cliff. The fourth participant, played by Maya Hawke, represents Linda Kasabian, who didn't run away but refused to enter the house or participate in the murders and later testified in court against the others.

little trivia, Dakota Fanning plays Squeaky Fromme-- a notorious member of Charles Manson's cult who in 1975, tried to assassinate the president of the United States and was sentenced to life in prison.

I believe that when Leo asked if they could do something about the heat from the flame thrower, it was not Leo in character asking if they could. It was Hot and think Leo said never again lol.

ZitherManifesto

This was a blast in theatres, never heard an audience laugh!

Quzga

My thoughts exactly!

Karl Ries

Wow!, what an unexpected and pleasant surprise! This film weaves a line between the historical and the fictional in such a brilliant way. Also, the recreation of the 1960s Hollywood is absolutely spectacular! I saw it in the theatre 3 times, its one of my all-time favs!
