The way I never cried watching this show (I know, I know), but teared up as soon as you started, Ariana. Lol I don't know what it is about seeing other people cry that makes me cry. So glad to be on this journey with you now!

2024-08-24 02:23:07 +0000 UTCWho would've thought you'd care about Jamie at the end of the season, not me. This season ends sad, but it also ends realistically. I've seen the first seen more than once. But seeing it after watching the last season hits differently. They really did have a plan. I recommend you watch the series again by yourself whenever you're done with this series.

2024-08-21 20:14:47 +0000 UTCTotally agree. Please try to keep any spoilers out of it. The definition of “spoiler” might vary depending on who you ask, but it’s better to just not say anything and let them enjoy the series without any comments on future episodes or story arcs. This is their Patreon, not public forum.

2024-08-20 12:24:34 +0000 UTC“A tie is like kissing your sister.” is a quote from a college (American) football coach. The only problem is that we’re not sure who said it first as it has been attributed to several different coaches, but it had become a popular phrase in the past. Of course that’s pretty much irrelevant now that college football has implemented overtime rules so that ties are no longer possible.

2024-08-20 12:21:42 +0000 UTCI always cry when You'll Never Walk Alone plays at the end. It is the official song of Liverpool, and they play it (and the stadium sings along) before every game at Anfield. Other clubs outside of England have adopted it, but Liverpool was first and it's more identified with that club than any other. Listen to the lyrics and you understand how well it fits into Ted Lasso as well.

2024-08-19 22:29:57 +0000 UTCSomehow I’ve come to enjoy Adriannas hearbreak. When she saw Jamie roaring down the field she knew it was over, just could not believe it.

2024-08-19 19:11:31 +0000 UTCFair enough. A few of my favourite moments come from season 2 (I think episode 2x8 is a particular highlight, I just love that whole episode). I think my point was that I didn't notice some of the issues that are so present in season 3 when I first watched season 2 and I was kind of shocked by season 3, how much it was changed from the previous seasons. But in retrospect, I do see them laying the groundwork for the changes in season 2 already.

2024-08-19 18:29:21 +0000 UTCI don't think s2 dips too much in quality, I frankly think it has a lot of highs from the show, but I do agree that some of s3 subplots are kinda awkward. S1 is the most solid from the three, I have to agree with that.

2024-08-19 10:45:18 +0000 UTCAgree to disagree I guess. I was very critical and frustrated of season 3 when it came out but I've come to mostly enjoy it for what it is. Ironically though, my issues with season 3 have made me more aware of the cracks appearing in season 2 already even though I completely loved it when it came out. My point is, I do think there is a decline in the quality of the writing throughout seasons 2 and 3, the plots aren't as tight anymore, the jokes not as quick-fire, the drama too melodramatic and there is a whole lot of flanderization with almost all of the characters. All of that applies much more to season 3 than season 2 but I do think we start seeing it in season 2 already. But all of that to say, I enjoy seasons 2 and 3 but I can't be convinced that season 1 isn't by far the best of the three.

2024-08-19 08:32:23 +0000 UTCSeason 1 is a dynamite foundation. Seasons 2 and 3 are a masterclass. It’s going to break you in the best way.
