2024-06-27 04:59:32 +0000 UTCMustang has already proved Envy wrong by persisting after the war. Killing innocents and children none the less would fuck a lot of folx up. And even tho he felt that still feels it from time to time he can steel himself and get the job done. Instead of imposing their perspective of what killing Envy would do to him, they shoulda trusted that Mustang would still be Mustang when he got done broiling a fuck nigga oh so deserving of death

This time, Mustang was not fighting for justice, he was fighting for vengeance. He wanted to kill envy to feed his own hatred. In a way, he would have confirmed everything Envy believed about humans; that they are too weak and stupid to overcome their passions. That's what changed. He lost control. Hawkeye and the crew did not want Mustang's darkness to corrupt him.

2024-06-26 21:13:39 +0000 UTCHawkeye tells Mustang that she was planning to kill Envy, even after she tries to stop him. The plan didn't change, it's just that the moment shifted from being about the mission, to being about Mustang. It sucks for him that he couldn't give into his passion, but if he couldn't pass the vibe check then he wouldn't be worthy of his supporters.
