Feel Good Show?

The girls would appreciate a show that doesn't make them cry or want to vomit every other episode lol
These are the one's the crew is kinda kicking around

What do you think?

Comments

Okay, hear me out, I feel like this won't be popular but, but I would enjoy watching them react to Bridgerton. Definitely a lighter show and less stressful lol.

Jason

If they actuall want feel good, gotta be my man Ted, but I love all 3 shows.

Woz Lee

Please please please do Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to close out the trilogy. Pleeeeaaaaasssssseeeeee!!!!!!!

bababooeytx

Please for the love of all things holy, Arrested Development!

Blinky's dad secretly loves Rohan

Another happy show that no one reacts to is 'Happy Endings' but it's one of my favorites. Cancelled too soon

Corey

How about Bojack Horseman? Nothing but feel-good, that show 😏

Christophe

Are you trying to kill them? The tension level for that show is far higher than any series they've watched. Ariana would end up in emergency.

TigerMyth

I'd love to see some reaction channel react to Ozark. Not sure if that's feel-good tho :)

Lance Allen

Good shout! I love that show (although it's also depressing in bits, I agree that it's hopeful and sweet overall)

Christophe

the Queen's Gambit is a wonderful, heartwarming series--no violence, no gore, no murder!! seems right up their alley :)

Chris Bruneau

or Gravity Falls or Star Butterfly vs the forces of evil

Brian West

The 100 would be epic

Brian West

What we do in the shadows is hilarious.

Brian West

Try something daring that breaks the mold and expands your content, like a Science and Nature Documentary mini-series? I bet plenty of people would love to experience a mini-series like Our Planet/Our Planet 2, Blue Planet, Night on Earth etc with you. Basically anything narrated by David Attenborough is worth watching and would probably be well received otherwise, Good Omens? the first season can be a stand alone mini-series (as it was meant to be) so it wouldn't be a big commitment, and it's a very light-hearted show featuring British humor but not, like, TOO British The Good Place? SUPER great, hilarious and with very talkable points about what it means to be a good person. Also, written with an arc that it completes and then is over, which i appreciate in a show

MoulinNoir

Community!

NJ

How about How I met your mother? Love that show. It is so comforting funny and has few sad moments but nothing too sad it's like mostly ohh followed with a joke or quick resolution of the sad moment and it's mostly in season finale or few episodes later down the line. One of the only shows i constantly rewatch

Elesh

the show is good the movie is great

potato salad

too bad they've seen Community--that show is hysterical

Chris Bruneau

How about 3rd Rock from the Sun?

Hovila

Always Sunny

Brandon

Agree. Anustart was a pretty good one but not worth going past season 3 for.

Nate Judge

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Or The Good Place. They are equally good shows with equally good vibes.

Liesmith

Always sunny

Christopher Somers

Yeah, they seem VERY grossed out. :)

Chris Bruneau

I'm just trying to avoid a stranger things rerun. I could see them getting to that part and being like "where's the feel good chad!?"

Chad Gloria

Guess I'm not as sensitive as you guys, Lolol. I actually forgot about that!! :)

Chris Bruneau

Lol the first episode mate. Involves domestic homicide

Chad Gloria

It's Always Sunny in Philiadelphia, Cunk on Earth, Lady Dynamite, Documentary Now, Flight of the Conchords.

Michael Buhl

YES, YES YES!!!!!!!!!! Yes to all three of your suggestions! And maybe SCTV would make a good 4th, although, I don't know where you'd find it on any streaming service.

Michael Buhl

For a feel good show, Ted Lasso. For just any new show, The Expanse.

MrStelmacki

Stranger Things was the "feel good" show. What more do you want?? ;)

Chris B

Ted Lasso or Arrested Development are good choices. Also gonna throw out Parks and Rec, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Abbott Elementary.

Conner Simpkins

if we are making recommendations for TV show, how about the first 2 seasons of Fargo--those are awesome --neither gory nor heartbreaking

Chris Bruneau

The good place

Jesse S

While it doesn't look like it'll win, they should watch the movie What We Do in the Shadows first.

Smapdi

The Good Place. Also I think if AD wins just have them watch the first 3 seasons

Corey

The OA is such a strange, beautiful show that feels me with good vibes, but it's not a comedy (and a bit slow for some people) Of those posted, I've only seen AD, which is an all-time favorite

Patrick

It sounds like those three are what we're gonna get. But I wonder about sketch shows? Monty Python (Flying Circus is the show or any of the movies, actually), Kids in the Hall, Mr. Show, some other 4th thing? That could be fun times!

Damien Lupo

I know this is a poll about feel good shows, but just throwing out a suggestion for down the line in the future. Itd be amazing to see yall watch Dark eventually. And I know its in another language (dont think yall dine anything fully in another language yet?), but I really think Maple and Arianna would enjoy it.

CK12341

The Office would be nice, although like you’ve mentioned lots of cringing would be involved. What about The 100? Don’t think I’d call that one “feel good” but I like it.

Isaiah Hagood

Feel good, that's tough I feel like even more wholesome shows often have moments that are meant to make the viewer cry. I do think it's a good idea to view media that isn't just angsty even if it's well-written. Something that makes you feel good is important to enjoy as well. If they were willing to watch cartoons I'd throw something out there like Steven universe

Fresh2000

Arrested Development is hilarious…except for the added on “final” season, where they undercut, ruined or destroyed pretty much every character in the show (with the exception of Tobias). If that’s included in the series, I can’t in good conscience vote for it. Ted Lasso it is.

Gary Trousdale

Can’t say Ted Lasso won’t make you cry, but IMO its one of the feels goodsiest shows ever made

Daniel Bjork

The good place

Eric Wallace

Arianna has already seen parks and rec. it woulda been on the list though

Chad Gloria

Ted Lasso, it just makes you feel good.

ZitherManifesto

yeah I'd love to see AOT but they do need some rest and some flowers or sing the Never Ending Story song to them. I wish there were more than 3 options. I guess I was hoping for Parks and rec."Pawnee: First in friendship, fourth in obesity."

Melanie Roberts

Another option is Shrinking. Same creator as Ted Lasso. Only 1 season so not much to catch up on.

Jon Coronel

I would watch Arrested Development or The Good Place like people are suggesting

Kara

What We Do in the Shadows is underrated, but please watch the movie first.

Armchair Rizzard

Also, if you do decide on The Good Place (which you absolutely should), the best way is to go into it completely blind. You probably shouldn't even tell the girls what it's about beforehand: I showed the pilot to my mom (she didn't even know the premise) and the reveal that happens in the first two minutes is pretty surprising and funny in itself.

Andrew

Parks and rec

Turtle-man 2023

yeah we may do AOT in the future but we need to clear space for it

Chad Gloria

The Good Place

Efrain Zavala

Was going to meme AoT but I don't think they would be able to handle it. Maybe later in the year

Com1xguy

Y’all should watch heartstopper. It’s a very feel good show in a heartwarming kind of way :)

NickyG

Shits creek

T.wiley

Absolutely Ted Lasso, that show goes to 11 on the positivity scale and is just really good all around. I have zero interest in soccer or any sports and I’ve watched Ted Lasso multiple times.

Bernhard

lol the office is a nonstop cringe fest. not exactly feel good lol. it has those feel good moments but so does stranger things

Chad Gloria

unfortunately arianna has seen community and pushing daisies is too sad that it just randomly ends

Chad Gloria

Ted lasso season one is feel good for sure season 2 gets heavy

MJ Eid

I'm assuming both of you have already watched The Office right?

X

Try 'The good place" it's solid A level materiel, and meets the criterion required.

David Brown

I suggested Ted lasso but there is no wrong option here, they are all pretty good shows

schnoobs

Arrested development is one of the best ever but good place will probably be better for them.

cheech

Arrested Development all the way.. Not enough people have reacted to that one.

Tristan

Another vote for The Good Place! It's so good, so funny, so well cast and well acted, and so beautiful!

Kate Hanson

Good place

David K

Only murders in the building is a funny show

Chris Bruneau

I second the Good Place - also Community, Pushing Daisies, or The Other Two?

Conor Kyle

what we do in the shadows is soooo fun!!

onlyonlysun

Hoping Ted Lasso wins! As it’s fairly short, suggest Catastrophe as an option for a future feel good 😊 (it is genuinely a comedy despite the name)

mcegan

Please, please, please, have them react to The Good Place. Not only is it hilarious, it has such a beautiful energy about it, and sometimes it actually will make them cry, but those moments will be deserved. Not to mention all the brilliant twists and turns along the way, such a wonderfully written show.

Andrew

Oh dayum! My first thought when I read “feel good” was Ted Lasso but then you go on to list two of my most formative comedies. There are no wrong answers to this poll.

Preston Wurtz

Arrested development is insanely clever and top tier comedy.

Aust

Arrested Development is the funniest sitcom of all time, fight me for it

Owen Kosik

okay but.. heartstopper for pride month👀

oatmilky

The first three seasons of Arrested Development are the best seasons of a sitcom I've ever seen. I really hope it wins. Not enough people reacting to it

Cason Lang

Arrested development would be amazing

BroDoeKoe

The good place
