2024-11-08 16:19:28 +0000 UTCYou are absolutely right. 300 for a teenth is insane. Especially back then. I was into bad stuff from about 1996 to 2006 (13 to 24). An 8 ball of great stuff back then was 180 to 250 range and that's double the amount. A teenth was anywhere from 80 to 125. Since Walt's stuff is supposed to be the beat all time maybe he could squeeze like 150 or 160 for a teenth but that's it lol. Do your drug homework Vince Gilligan lol.

He just cares a lot about Andrea and Brock and when he realized that the situation was linked to his friends death, thats why he got involved. Also, most ppl have a moral line they won’t cross. He might do bad things, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a sense of morality about particular things.

I just think he's short-sighted not understanding the people he sells to have families (he's indirectly destroying.) He blames the addicts, but he's supplying the addicts.

Selling meth to addicts is unjustifiable but it's easier for him to reconcile selling to a 'junkie adult' than selling to a parent of a young child, when he's seen firsthand how that can destroy a kids life. It's not that important but literally the first time we see Jesse in the show, he's jumping naked out of a woman's bedroom window after having sex with her lol (1x1).

As soon as she chooses not to file divorce and go to the police, in her head she's committing to being an accessory... so she might as well help make the crime as "unimpeachable" as possible.

2024-01-30 16:13:02 +0000 UTCMaple and Arianna get around to it at the end, but yeah - while I agree that Skyler could have been written to be more likeable, it is also kind of cliche to just have a go-with-the-flow wife who just smoothly transforms from trad wife to gold digger ho without any friction. We've seen that plenty of times before, and Breaking Bad prides itself on giving us something unique to think about. Skyler initially left because the whole thing made her want to vomit, and visceral reactions can often be fleeting after you get used to it. So, while it may seem like inconsistent writing, I don't think it's poor form to have a person who changes their mind and, yes, does things that are hypocritical. People actually do that all the time, and it's only obvious in bad screenwriting because it's usually done to fit a narrative or scheduled plot sequence rather than something that might just make sense for a person with conflicted feelings and problematic behavior.

Sometimes adaptability only goes so far, and you gotta find the right partner who'd be receptive to conversational styles that you're good at. So, aside from the emotional investment, he might have not wanted to do the pre-Tinder equivalent of swiping for a few days waiting for a match to spit game at (it takes a lot longer IRL).

2024-01-30 10:12:45 +0000 UTCMaple and Arianna have W takes on this show. Not liking the characters doesn't equate to being uninterested. The show is called breaking bad for a reason. Figuring out where each character falls on the spectrum of evil is what makes the show so engaging for me.

2024-01-29 01:09:51 +0000 UTCI don't get Jesse's sense of morality. He'll sell meth and ruin families, but if he SEES it's affecting a kid then he draws a line. Also, I don't think they have Jesse fully developed in first season (regarding the prostitute). He wasn't supposed to last past first season. So I agree with Jesse all of a sudden having game doesn't quite work with how he behaved in first season.

When Jesse is trying to sell Andrea on his meth he repeats what Jane told him about "making that feeling last" doing something more than one time and it's significance- but Jesse twists it for his malicious motive.
