This show is soo surprisingly charming upon a rewatch haha. Love cyrus so much, like everyone else. This show aired at the same time as season 3b and honestly i think it surpassed that season.

2022-05-15 22:06:10 +0000 UTCAlice and Cyrus are definitely very lovey-dovey, as you said, and there are parts of it I have a hard time rewatching because it’s just SO sappy, but I actually really like it? It’s not often in media that you see a couple who are unabashedly devoted to one another, where they take their love as a given and there’s no cheap relationship drama, or very little. Which isn’t to say that there aren’t roadblocks to their relationship, either in flashbacks or in episodes to come (hell, we saw one here, where Alice began to waver in her conviction), or that they wouldn’t have added BS subplots had the show been renewed, but I don’t think it’s particularly a spoiler to say how committed they are to each other. You mentioned in the pilot similarities to the Charmings, and that really is such an accurate assertion. Sappy, sometimes cringe, kind of vanilla, but *solid*. It’s so wholesome 🥰 (Doesn’t hurt that the actor who plays Cyrus is very easy on the eyes lol.)
