Of course they blew through the Marie/Skyker conversation about how facing death changed a person, which was the catalyst for Skyler’s change of heart regarding Walt, because they were focused on purple and artichoke

Like God, either leave and divorce him or stay, shut up and spend the money lol. But don't keep hanging around in limbo like your down but your also gonna whine every second of every day. Painful to listen too. Maybe that's what really drove Walt crazy after all those years being married to her.

2024-07-30 00:02:26 +0000 UTCI don't know if that's true. I'm certainly not a defender of Walt, I think the girls are right that he's become ridiculously egotistical and prideful. That's separate from appreciating Cranston's acting though.

2023-12-20 16:48:51 +0000 UTCYeah, agreed! There's so much nuance and variety in Cranston's portrayal of the character. He really does think deeply about how to animate the persona that he embodies, and the writers (gloriously) give him those moments when they think about the dynamics of his relationship with his wife at this point in time (i.e. writing in the request, "Do you want to hold [Holly]?". It really is phenomenal that these talents on both sides of the camera were able to collaborate and play off each other for moments like that.

2023-12-19 02:50:14 +0000 UTCI'm getting the impression that Maple (and maybe Arianna), whose reactions at this point veer the narrow spectrum of contempt and indifference, doesn't feel the same way about Cranston.

2023-12-18 15:16:06 +0000 UTCI love that small acting moment from Cranston when Skyler asks Walt if he wants to take Holly. When Holly started yammering, Walt looked at her longingly, clearly wanting to take her but knowing that at the moment, Skyler wouldn't approve. As Skyler bends over to pick Holly up, she briefly looks at Walter and sees that expression on his face and probably feels some kind of pity or sympathy towards him, seeing that despite everything, he still clearly loves his children. After asking him if he wants to take her, Walt's eyes light up in surprise and relief and tears start welling in his eyes because he's so happy that he still gets these moments. There's just so much emotion conveyed by Cranston with just a few looks and expressions and without saying a word and it's so important to have these moments for Walt to still remain human, to still remain a complex character even as he gets more villainous and egomaniacal in his criminal life. I think moments like these are why Cranston got all these Emmys and nominations. Playing villainous Heisenberg is fun and he does it well but it's also increasingly over-the-top and actually kind of plays into his wheelhouse with his comedic background, playing big, over-the-top characters. But these small, subtle moments are just so extraordinary from him.

2023-12-18 11:08:48 +0000 UTCThere was brief full nudity though, the two strippers that were kind of dancing together and almost making out didn't have pasties on

2023-12-18 07:17:35 +0000 UTCyes it is possible that its a no liquor + nudity state but it also coulda been cause it's an AMC show. if i recall the pilot is the only episode with uncensored nudity and the pilot may have been made with HBO in mind but AMC picked i up instead

2023-12-18 06:44:39 +0000 UTCThe pasties thing could be a legal issue, so not having full nudity and being able serve hard liquor vs full nudity and being stuck with beer only, im pretty sure thats a American thing that varies on which State/County the strip club resides on, because in Canada its hard liquor and full nudity pretty much country wide. im kinda drunk so i could be wrong.
