2023-07-26 19:49:18 +0000 UTCThere's a very subtle and wildly underappreciated reality revealed in this episode..... up until this point we get no direct indication of just how powerful the Firelord is other than reputation. Until now the most powerful firebending we see is from Azula and Iroh when lighting bending, and in each time they show a whole form and sequence they go through to separate the energies and direct the lighting. IN THIS EPISODE, while deep under the volcano and while only an actual SLIVER of the sun has shown after the eclipse, Ozai jumps up and in one fluid motion throws two bolts of lightening, one with each hand, revealing that's he's is on a whole other level compared to even Azula. I love that bit, and never see anyone talk about it. / : ] ' Great stuff ! Looking forward to the second half !
