Logan is a monster but he wasn't wrong telling Nan to F Off. He was buying her company. She doesn't get to dictate who will run his company. it isn't a merger of equals. Her company is being absorbed. Assimilated.

2023-07-03 21:49:29 +0000 UTCI have a bit of trouble with this episode, too much cringiness, I just can barely stand to watch it. I know cringe is part of the show's identity, but sometimes they just go a bit too hard for my taste. It's just one of those episodes where they lean a bit too hard into all the Roys' awfulness and ineptitude and we just don't have enough human moments that make me empathize with them.

2023-06-28 21:40:32 +0000 UTCRoman’s problems with intimacy always seemed to stem pretty clearly with the abuse he suffered as a kid. There’s a reason his love language is having people insult him — it’s the most intimacy he ever got from his dad. There’s also theories that his inability to have sex comes from SA he experienced as a kid — which checks out to me.

2023-06-27 19:32:08 +0000 UTCI still love your distaste of Logan, like Brian Cox gives a powerful performance as always and he's a great character but far from a good one. I do think in the moment he anointed Shiv he meant it but he will change his tactics based off daily preference, feeling power slip away, and it's so interesting to watch him suck the air out of the room. Love the Roman/Gerri stuff, love Tabitha (his sort of gf? too) and Kendall is always interesting - ugh love as always

2023-06-27 18:01:45 +0000 UTCRegardless of everything this episode shows how much better in the game Logan is than his kids. Nobody besides Tom actually played the role they were supposed to (Ken lucked into Naomi, but him taking drugs on that evening was a horrid decision)...they all botched it and if Pierce was not depseprate for funding the deal would have fallen through. On one hand Logan is a pretty bad person, but he still knows how to put on a mask, his kids dont. They were never forced to be anybody but themselves so they can t evne pretend for 1h to be normal human beings.

2023-06-27 14:34:16 +0000 UTCThe 'walking away from the deal' power-play wasn't just so Shiv 'knows her place', but also so Nan knows hers. At the end it's Waystar acquiring them, not the other way around, so to have her making decisions that arent *just* to do with the business but his family is unacceptable to Logan.
