Love how Sam was just like "okay, let's go to hell" with his knife and didn't ask any questions...almost bitter that Dean wanted to go with him. They have serious insecurities that destroy their relationship so much this season!

Take off the Sam biased glasses and remember the facts. You blame Dean for everything even when it’s not his fault for what happened. Lol Sam was also trying to murder Benny… just bc he was so jealous. so we may not wanna put him on such a pedestal when it comes to Benny. Lol Benny knows Dean is a real one.. but Sam really took them from each other sadly… they’re friendship was so pure and they could count on each other.. until sam gave Dean an ultimatum:/ rip Benny…. I friggin love his character and actor so much! He’s so fun!!! If Dean wasn’t there for Benny “at all,” then what was him going to save his life and help him end his maker and corrupted lover? You don’t seem to get their bond. He was there for Benny as much as he could be. You always blame Dean for that when Sam face him no choice lol so point that being pissed off about leaving Benny where it belongs… ya know the same person that didn’t bother to look for Meg, Kevin who was still a literal TEENAGER…. And oh yeh… didn’t bother to look for his brother.. deans not to blame for everything ffs … the bias is out of control dude

Look at it from his POV: The Winchesters are trying to close the gates of Hell. That destroys his lifestyle. Is Hell bad? Sure - from our POV. From his reckoning, what they're trying to do is to force something on him that his kind don't want. Kinda like the US in the Middle East, forcing western sensibilities on mid-eastern culture. Similar to what we did to Japan after WWII.<p> </p>What he did to Bobby, yes was WAY WRONG. And I don't like that he did that, and that Naomi stopped him (BTW, I don't think Naomi is bad. She's just trying to protect Heaven, like Crowley's trying to protect Hell.) But you can't tell me that Crowley is any worse than Meg was back in the day. Crowley has helped in so many ways, just as Meg has. I don't think there's anything as a "good" demon. They all help the Winchesters - on occasion = <b>if it help themselves</b>. And that includes Meg. She just hates Crowley because he took over Lucifer's top spot.<p></p> <p>If you can't tell, I love me some Crowley, and some Mark Shepherd.</p>

The shooting of this episode took place between Feb 22, 2013, to March 5, 2013. Jensen requested the director, Guy Norman Bee to do a Supernatural one after being shown the memes on youtube by a cameraman. They had to go through the whole rigamarole to get approval from WB, and the video aired on youtube on March 6, 2013. 2021-11-07 14:01:55 +0000 UTCSorry Shelley. Good and bad from this episode. It was a really good one though, even though I hated part of it. I was so angry about Benny and all the missed opportunities for some great episodes with him and Dean. Why does this show keep killing off people in Sam and Dean's lives???? Red eyed demons - the Crossroads demons always have red eyes. Crowley has red eyes. It appears to be a thing. Some sort of level class with the eyes and demons. Torturing of demons - I don't think the holey water is super bad. There's worse that they could do, so torturing an evil demon who's killed people for please doesn't bother me so much. About Dean and Benny - I think Dean was a bit surprised that Benny had such a hard time. Dean is hard on himself and just "sucks it up" and that's how he may have seen it with Benny. That Benny would just suck it up and manage. Probably a bit of wishful thinking, since he didn't see an alternative. But it is sad that he wasn't there for Benny. I think he just didn't realize that he was actually needed. You may need to re-watch this episode too. It was a lot to take in.

2021-11-07 01:09:57 +0000 UTCLet me start by saying that I like this episode in general, namely because of two things: 1) Benny (Dean apologizing to him and promising to fix things with him and, implicitly, fix it with Sam so he can fix things with him plus - PLUS! - Sam finally seeing the truth about Benny, admitting it, and apologizing to Dean)** and 2) Bobby (Bobby! <3). But this writing duo tends to be rill liberal with the lore/canon, so I have to jump through hoops to justify certain other things, such as why Bobby seemed relatively "okay" having spent so much time in hell. Here's what I've come up with: Crowley significantly changed hell, incorporating things like DMV lines, because he has a perverse sense of humor (love that about him as a villain). So, canonically, hell is pretty different these days. Bobby's hell of seeing endless black-eyed Sams and Deans would have been emotionally taxing -- maybe he even has to fight and/or kill them daily -- but intrinsically he knows Sam and Dean aren't demons. Still hell, but theoretically he didn't go through the level of torture the boys did. Contextualized in this sense, seeing regular Sam goes a long way towards rectifying his trauma in a much shorter time frame. (The hoops, though, to rationalize this! :-P) Now, Naomi...I can't say I "like" her exactly... However, she's the first *interesting* angel we've had in a while. So I can get behind that. :-) **I too wish we'd gotten more Benny, but I think the show didn't realize soon enough what a great character they'd created and what a great actor they'd get for him.

2021-11-06 17:28:02 +0000 UTCI don't know Hasnaa I tend to agree with Christopher here about Cas. I know he trusts Dean, but he didn't trust him enough with something that powerful. I saw that as not only was Dean hurt that Cas beat him up, but then he took the tablet and jetted too. In Dean's opinion they should have taken the tablet to Kevin together. But Naomi was a bitch for talking about Cas not being loyal to Dean because he was already worried.

2021-11-06 14:22:38 +0000 UTCI knew you were going to freak at this one. So many characters coming back. Yes, Supernatural has a way of bringing people back, sometimes in unexpected ways. Every time you talked about seeing Benny again I wouls jsut say to the screen, "Oh Shelley" cause I knew they were going to rip your heart out with him. It was amazing to see Bobby again and I think we can all agree now Sam can get this done. Now my mind is on Naomi. I see her differently than most here. I think her number one mission is to protect Heaven. She's a "by any means necessary" kind of person. And if that meant reprogramming Cas, that's what she was gonna do. I do think that she can be trusted up to a point. She racked up big with me releasing Bobby from Crowley. Now Crowley, what a dick. I would expect nothing less from him. I love to hate him when he is ruthless. And he is on an absolute tear cause he knows something is up. I think Kevin is still alive because if Crowley gets his hands on either tablet, he needs someone to read it. I think you are going to love every episode for the rest of this season. They are all so good!

2021-11-06 10:33:11 +0000 UTCI think it was obvious where cas's loyalty lies when Naomi said "you have to choose, castiel, us or them" & he chose dean & Naomi knows this, I don't think it's a loyalty thing, i think he's trying to protect both heaven & Sam & dean by keeping the tablet away from everyone, whenever heaven is having problems, humans always get caught in the middle as we have seen in the Michael vs lucifer plot in season 5 that would've destroyed half the planet & in season 6 with the angels civil war humans got killed, so i think he was trying to protect everyone because he loves Sam & dean & heaven & he still feels guilty about what he did to heaven so this is his way of protecting everyone, it's not that he isn't loyal to dean or doesn't wanna return to him like she's making it up to be imo, dean already takes everything personally, he doesn't need her playing on his insecurities 😭

Sam's hand glowing & him feeling pain is exactly what happened after he finished the first trial too, it's how they know it worked. Benny 😭 i was so heartbroken & mad too, my heart breaks for both Benny & dean, i am too still mad at Sam making dean choose, dean now will blame himself for this & he just lost another friend 😭. Naomi telling dean " you were hoping castiel will return to you, i admire your loyalty, i only wish he felt the same way" 🤬, i wanted to punch her in the face coz she more than anyone knows that cas's loyalty is always to dean over heaven but she's playing on dean's insecurity & planting that seed in his brain even more, that cas doesn't care about him 😭. Crowley is so evil, great reaction, Shelley 👏
