this episode was a turning point for many. It reveals this shows profound and complex storytelling in a more obvious way then before. For me personally ATLA is one of the greatest stories ever told and I learned a lot of amazing things about writing by watching it

2023-02-22 13:54:09 +0000 UTCThe warden in Ep 6 was voiced by George Takei, and Haru's father, Tyro, was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, the voice of the Mauler Twins and Monster Girl's monster form in Invincible, and Shredder in TMNT. Scott Menville, the voice of Robin in Teen Titans, does countless side characters in this show.

This Fire Nation tradition is based heavily in Ancient Japanese Bushido Culture, in which literally every aspect of a person's life, especially a royal like him, was defined by their honor.
