Once Upon a Time - "Season 3 Wrap Up" Review

Once Upon a Time - "Season 3 Wrap Up" Review

Comments

I think it would be great to at least finish s4 before starting OUAT in Wonderland! I don’t want to miss out on the 2/week schedule for as long as possible :) thank you so much for these reactions and reviews. You’re awesome! <3

Even a Frozen Heart Can Melt

It sounds like we’ll get Season 4 either way, so I definitely vote you alternate with OUAT in Wonderland if it means we can get both! If nothing else, it’s cool to see Millie Bobby Brown pre-Stranger Things.

Oh and something I forgot to speak on is the twist about Pan being Rumple’s father & I agree with you. It was a huge twist I wasn’t expecting. It was definitely a WTF moment. But, there are many more exciting surprising twists to come.

Enjoyed your review video & thank you for mentioning my question even though you had answered it in the comments of your reaction to There’s No Place Like Home. As far as my top 5 episodes #5 is a tie between It’s Not Easy Being Green & A Curious Thing, #4 Going Home, #3 a tie between Good Form & The Jolly Roger, #2 New York City Serenade & #1 Snow Drifts & There’s No Place Like Home(since they’re a two part season finale I count them as a whole episode rather than two separate episodes tied for first). As far as Pan vs Zelena as villains. Pan is no doubt a phenomenal villain & Robbie Kay is brilliant as Pan so I liked him as a villain but I really hated him. Now, Zelena was phenomenal as the wicked witch but in many ways/reasons I hated her but I grew to love her whereas I never grew to love Pan. Overall, I love the wicked witch arc more than the neverland arc. That’s partly bc I like Zelena more than Pan & most of my favorite episodes are in the second half so as a whole the wicked witch arc is my favorite of the two. Also, another factor is that The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite all time movies whereas I never really liked Peter Pan as it’s one of my least favorite Disney movies. In regards to you reacting to OUAT In Wonderland is that if it takes the place of a OUAT episode(one episode of each series/week instead of two OUAT episodes/week) then I’d vote against you reacting to the Wonderland series. I also look forward to your reactions to the Frozen arc as it’s one of my favorites & I’m excited to see how/if your opinions change about CaptainSwan.

friday!

Shelley

I really enjoyed your insights since they are very similar to my own.

I would like to see her reactions for it, but I don't want to miss out on getting reactions for Once Upon a Time twice a week. Shelley should just wait until she finishes Once Upon a Time in its entirety if she's unable to fit in episode of the spinoff every now and again between her normal reaction schedule.

Also... if watching Once Upon a Time in Wonderland would mean losing out on an extra episode of Once Upon a Time every week, then I say wait until you finish watching all of Once Upon a Time first before jumping into Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. I love all of your reactions for my favorite show and I don't want to miss out on getting reactions for it twice a week. But I would certainly be interested in seeing your reactions for the spinoff at some point down the road.

I'd be very up for alternating between the core Once Upon a Time show and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Thank you so, so much for your season three wrap up video, allowing for us to hear and understand your thoughts about season three as a whole!! Like with your wrap up videos for seasons one and two... I really enjoyed watching this one too. And thank you so much for answering my questions as well! I am so happy that you do enjoy the overall storyline with Henry giving his heart to Pan. I do agree with you that Henry's reasons for doing so makes absolute sense, given how badly he longs to be a hero like everyone, or most of his family are. And I like that about him. I like that about his character. And I understand that Henry fell for Pan's lies and manipulations because he is still just an eleven year old kid who does make mistakes. However, for me personally, I feel like he should have been a little smarter, enough to trust more in each of his parents, all of whom were pleading with him to trust in them and to believe that Pan is lying. Especially since most of this season, Henry distrusted Pan all along until the ending of Dark Hollow and throughout all of Think Lovely Thoughts. After all... Pan did have Greg and Tamara kidnap him and he kept him separated from his family all along, which Henry came to know. For me... had Henry come to nearly giving his heart to Pan until he finally trusts his parents at the last moment and refuses, I would have liked his overall storyline throughout the Neverland arc that much more. I just think that Henry was naively foolish and it felt very out of character for him too. As for you still being unsure of Emma and Killian being a True Love ship... like they are for so many other fans of this show, Emma and Killian are definitely my favorite ship, but I do certainly understand and respect that you are unsure of how you really feel about them being together. I'm just happy that you're not against them being together at all, and hopefully you will eventually come along to ship and love them. In regards to your thoughts about Killian being a conceded character who you feel thinks he's hot stuff, etc... Hook's cocky and self important attitude is nothing more than a mask he wears to hide how he truly feels about himself. He tries so hard to hide his insecurities and self loathing from everyone, especially from Emma because he doesn't want her or anyone to see his weaknesses. He hides behind humor, cockiness, and conceit in order to try to show he's confident with who he is, and is even lying to himself in hope of shaking his hatred of himself off. And you can especially see just how much he loathes himself in the seventeenth episode... The Jolly Roger. Killian is a very complex character who wears two faces, and this is part of what I find so intriguing and incredible about him. And then... I am so, so happy that you agree with me that you would have loved to see more of the rivalry between Hook and Pan throughout the Neverland arc too! As for both Pan and Zelena as this season's two main villains... I really love the both of them very much. They are definitely among my favorite villains throughout the entire show. I agree with you that while I love the Neverland arc as a whole, I think the Wicked Witch arc is definitely a stronger arc too, even though for me... I agree with you that that Pan is also slightly stronger as a villain than Zelena is as well. As for my favorite episodes throughout all of season three, in chronological order because I can't say with a certainty which episodes I love most in the order of my number one favorite to my least favorite of this season... Good Form, Ariel, Going Home, New York City Serenade, The Jolly Roger, A Curious Thing, Kansas, Snow Drifts, and There's No Place Like Home Overall... what a phenomenal season!! So thank you very much for all of your reactions for all of season three, Shelley!!! And thank you for this fun wrap up video once again as well!! I am so excited for you to begin watching season four!!! :) I truly hope you're feeling better, my friend. Again... my sincerest apologies for your loss and my deepest condolences. I wish you and your loved ones all the happiness in the world. Sincerely, Heidi
