For some reason, I’ve never really enjoyed this episode. It’s funny, because I loved “Benders” which is similar in that it turns out that humans are the real monsters. I can’t imagine how they’d get the brother and sister to a facility where they could have been helped. I think they were too far gone.

I always felt it was a shame that her career got sidetracked because of that horrible Supergirl film. I hear a lot of complaints from other SPN reactors because of the frequent monster-of-the-week episodes, especially when, like this one, they come after strong episodes that advance the season's story arc. You just have to remember that these were made before binging was a thing and when seasons consisted of 22-24 episodes released weekly instead of ten dumped all at once as is typical of most streaming platforms today. I've been watching the show since it first aired, and I don't recall the sense of urgency back then to get to the next episode like I feel now when I pull out my DVDs. Plus, without the monster-of-the-week episodes I think we'd get bored with the main story arc. It would be impossible to maintain the emotional momentum with it being stretched out over so many episodes. Anyway, I absolutely love your reactions and am so glad I ran across your channel early on.
