I loved your review! Your reactions and ranking are almost exactly the same as mine. The only difference is I would include among my favorites episode 2, "We Are Both," since it was when we first saw Regina begin her attempt at redemption and begin to be honest with Henry. I love the fact that her path to redemption was not easy but you are right that she made a huge step forward in the season finale, as did Rumple and Hook. I'm looking forward to Friday! I was struck by Rumple's line at the end of the finale, that Greg and Tamara are working for "Someone we all should fear." Who could strike such fear into the Dark One? It will be fun to find out.

However, because there is so much focus on four characters that I don't really care all that much for, I have to admit season two is my least favorite of all seven seasons, if I really have to choose one. I don't care much for Cora except that she does make for a good villain. She's just a little too twisted because of how she treats Regina, claiming all she's done has been for her daughter, when in truth she does everything for herself. Neal is an okay character overall as well. He is a nice guy, and I love the twist with him being Rumplestiltskin's son revealed in Manhattan. And I like his relationship with Henry now that it's begun to be developed. However, I don't really care much for his relationship with Emma because I don't really feel their chemistry much, and because of their past with him letting Emma take the fall for his theft of the watches even though we know he did it because it was in Emma's best interest and because August told him he needed to do it for her so she could fulfill her destiny. Plus... I don't care much about Neal's relationship with Rumple either because their relationship is too wishy washy, or up and down. There's far too much back and forth. And I really hate both Greg and Tamara. I think their characters overall are quite boring, and I really just hate that they are such complete patsies working for someone they don't even know. And I hate Tamara's fake relationship with Neal, and hate her real relationship/affair with Greg. As for the best newest character for me... Hands down, I absolutely love, love, love Hook!! He's such a fascinating character. I love him as a villain, and I love the prospect of him slowly gaining a redemption arc. Also... I love his rivalry with Rumplestiltskin, as well as the chemistry he has with Emma as well. Hook is phenomenal, and I can't wait for you to see more to come with him!!! As for my top five favorite episodes throughout season two, in no real particular order... The Crocodile, The Doctor, Tallahassee, Queen of Hearts, And Straight on 'Til Morning. I love Hook's backstory with Baelfire and seeing the possibility not only for his redemption arc, but also one for Regina and Rumple too. And I love seeing the rivalry between Hook and Rumplestiltskin, I love seeing the chemistry and rivalry between Hook and Regina, as well as his chemistry with Emma too. This is why I love each of these episodes. And I love seeing Jefferson as the Mad Hatter, in the way the Mad Hatter should be seen throughout The Doctor. :) Overall... I love season two, and I loved watching all of your reactions for each episode within it. So, thank you so much, Shelley!! I can't wait to see you begin season three!! I personally really loved S3 and I think you will too. I really love your input about adding a same-sex couple into the show because it’s sadly an issue in our world and implementing it into a show all about hope could help a lot of people despite of sexual orientation. I don’t want to say whether they do add one or not but this show aired from 2011-2018 so maybe keeping in mind the history of same-sex couples and making a guess from that fact (as same sex marriages were legalized in all of the U.S. in 2015). I didn’t mean to make this political or somewhat but it’s sad that even in the 2000s we are still experiencing lack of freedom. Anyways, hope you’re doing well during this pandemic, this goes for everyone, stay safe & wash your hands :) ❤️
