SHOULD BE A GOOD DO CHARVA OH YES

Good morning everyone,

Hope you're doing good and enjoying this heat, and I really mean that, I hope you're enjoying this. I think its lovely. Jake will be sat in his office sweating, even when he goes on holiday in a couple weeks he'll be all sun creamed up with his little hat on, reading his book in the shade. Not me. I got properly burned on the first day of my holiday in spain and I find now that once I've done that at the start of summer, I don't really burn again, and I continue getting more olivey, almost a bit green, as the summer rolls on. Glastonbury done, Wimbledon just starting, this is the real peak now. Fucking love it. I'm allowing myself to fall into a mindset of 'summer's short, you've got to enjoy it' so I'm drinking quite a lot, spending money on daft shit, doing some real damage to my mental, physical and financial health.

Anyway, few bits of news. Firstly, a big thanks, loads of you signed up as free triallers and have now stayed with us, and we really, really appreciate that. When we started this Patreon last summer we had no idea what to expect and I remember us thinking 'if we get a couple hundred, that just about covers the costs, and then if we get a few hundred on top of that, it'll be like we're getting paid to make it!' We're way past that now, we can do things like The Rot Bar, people are meeting each other at festivals whilst wearing the hats. It's beautiful. Thanks so much, and we promise we're gonna keep trying to make this thing as fun/weird as we can.

Tour tickets are selling really well in Newcastle and Edinburgh, so if you want some of them, do snap them up. I have no idea how Liverpool are selling as the venue haven't told us. So god knows. Maybe no one is coming in Liverpool. I've just checked and it isn't sold out. So up to you really.

We're recording the much requested Jack Roworth ep for Patreon this week. I kinda wanna handle it as sensitively as possible, cos Jake is right. He's mad. He's either one of the best comedic performers of a generation, or he's properly mental. Likely somewhere in the middle but nonetheless, you don't wanna pick on someone who isn't the full shilling. I've asked him to come on the pod before, he said he'd be up for it next time he's in London, I asked if he'd do a remote recording, his exact words were 'fuck that Moosh'. So the way I'm handling this is I'm gonna do what we intended with this patreon, and use the paywall as a way of not letting Jack know that we're gonna spend an hour talking about him. So yeah, please don't grass.

Merch wise, stickers are here, T Shirts are slowly making their way across the world and are currently in Poland having driven through Russia and all the mad countries around it, and Men Are Class hats are about 3 weeks away. I think what I'm gonna do is give you guys access to buy the tickets as soon as I've finished the Shopify set up so hopefully this week.
