This is a shorter (54 minute) video that goes through a list of games that I came up with that I think represents the highest trending games so far.
I came up with this through a blend of metacritic critic scores, user scores, a weighted average, their Google Trends length of time trending over 10 compared to a baseline of Video Games, their historically lowest price on IsThereAnyDeal and an average time to beat from HowLongToBeat's MainStory and Completionist times. I weighted these slightly to ensure that no single metric was too strongly shown (for example, I gave games under $2 five points, under $5 four points, under $10 three points, under $20 two points, and under $30 one point, since the goal is to show games that are affordable and accessible. This is one of 20 categories I used to come up with my list, and then a little bit of personal massaging when something like Madden NFL 2003 showed up.
