Pokemon: Way Of Life: Chapter 35

Hi all,

Here's the next chapter. I have created a poll to make voting for the next story easier. It will be up for three days.

A bit of formatting change. I have decided to stop using capitals in the word 'Move,' because it feels weird. I don't know why I even started using it in the first place. Let me know what you think.

Warren had chosen Charmander, and if he had been telling the truth before, then his other Pokemon would either be a Squirtle or a Bulbasaur. It was Lucas' plan to learn all the details about his opponent's Pokemon before picking a partner.

Charmander ~ Level 8 ~ HP: 180 ~ Aura: 170

After looking at Charmander's parameters, he noticed that he differed from Imara's in a few areas. His HP was lower than Imara's because Lucas had invested a lot of points in Imara's HP. Charmander's strength was his Special Attack, which was higher than Imara's. It had the Blaze special ability, which increased the power of Fire-Type moves if its HP was less than a third of its maximum.

Next, he checked out Charmander's moves and found some differences. The first thing that caught my attention was Ancient Power. This is a powerful Rock-type move that has a 10% chance of raising all of its stats. As a result of Warren's focus on increasing the Charmanders' Fire-Type energy at the expense of Dragon-Type energy, Charmander had Flamethrower in his arsenal.

Having made up his mind, Lucas retrieved Imara's ball and summoned her onto the stage.

Imara immediately focused on her opponent in front of her and growled. 'Well, it looks like I will face one of my own species in this encounter. I can teach him how to be a proper Charmander.'

'I want you to crush his Charmander completely.' Lucas said heartlessly.

Imara smirked. 'No problem.'

The match began. Lucas predicted that Ancient Power would be used since it was super effective against Imara. Due to the fact that its Mastery was low, he assumed that it would take longer to initiate. So, he ordered Imara to perform Belly Drum. Theoretically, she should be able to finish before Ancient Power had finished charging since her attack had already been mastered.

His guess was correct. A number of balls of energy rose in the air before morphing into medium-sized chunks of rock before they were propelled forward.

At that point, Imara had already completed Belly Drum.

Imara's attack has been raised by six stages. HP has been halved.

HP: 102/205

'Evade.' Lucas said calmly.

Imara leapt to the side as the rocks came crashing down where she had been standing. Although she had anticipated it, she was still almost hit by the attack because the impact area was quite wide.

'Approach him and get ready to execute Dragon Tail.'

Imara ran forward, her body leaning forward in preparation for her next attack. Lucas tried to read Warren's thoughts on what he would do next with the moves he had at his disposal and the short time available before Imara attacked.

'Charmander is going to use Flamethrower. Jump over it and attack with Dragon Tail.'

Charmander opened his mouth and released a torrent of flames. It must have been three times the volume of Ember. The flames shot forward, but Imara was already leaping over the flames, and her tail began shining with Dragon-Type energy. She twisted in the air and swung her tail down on top of Charmander's head.

Critical Hit! 82 damage was dealt to Charmander.

HP: 98/180

Charmander face-planted, hitting the ground hard, wailing out in pain.

Bite.' Lucas commanded.

Imara opened her mouth and bit down on Charmander's head.

39 damage was dealt to Charmander.

HP: 59/180

Charmander's Blaze has taken effect.

Fire-Type attacks have increased by 50%.

Imara was merciless. She didn't let go but continued to clamp down on Charmander's head as it writhed around, flipping both Pokemon over as it tried to escape. Imara was now on her back with her fangs still attached to the back of Charmander's head and her arms and legs wrapped around his body. His body was suspended above the ground.

11 damage was dealt to Charmander.

10 damage was dealt to Charmander.

.......

Everyone watched in shock as Imara held on until the Pokemon fainted.

'Let go.' Lucas said.

Imara released Charmander, and he dropped to the floor.

There were a couple of factors that played a part in her success in holding onto the Charmander so easily. First of all, Lucas suspected that the initial head blow from Dragon Tail had concussed and disorientated the Pokemon.

Secondly, Charmander's Attack was lower than Imara's, so once she had wrapped her limbs around him, it was a lot more difficult for him to escape. Charmander was essentially outmuscled by its opponent, as the Attack stat could be seen as merely another word for strength.

"The Charmander from the red platform has fainted. Victory is awarded to the other Charmander."

As the crowd erupted in cheers, applauding a battle in which Warren seemed to be completely helpless. Out of all the matches, they had not seen a more dominant fight all morning. Imara lapped it up, turning and bowing to the section of the crowd closest to the stage.

Lucas looked at Warren, who had a placid look on his face, appearing unaffected by the result. In spite of this, he was unable to control the small twitches in his face that Lucas could see all too clearly with his superior eyesight. His brows lowered slightly, and his lips narrowed at the corners. Warren was pissed off.

Imara returned to his side of the stage as Charmander was sent to get healed. Lucas hoped Charmander was okay, as the Pokemon had nothing to do with his anger towards Warren.

The young man sent out his next Pokemon, Squirtle. Lucas raised his hand to the referee that he was withdrawing Imara from the fight.

"You were amazing, once again. Let Maximus take it from here," Lucas said. She was sent back to the waiting area.

Lucas summoned Maximus to the stage.

'Baddie?' Maximus asked, seemingly having learned to frame it as a question.

Lucas smirked. 'The trainer is a bad guy, so we are not about to show any mercy in taking down Squirtle.'

The elation in Maximus' eyes was palpable. 'Yes!'

The two Pokemon stepped onto the stage and stood seven metres apart. Lucas once again analyzed the opponent's parameters to gain an advantage.

=====

Pokemon: Squirtle | Age: 0 | Gender: F | Type: Water | Potential: C |

Description: Shoots water at prey while in the water. When in danger, it retreats into its shell.

Stats

Level: 8 | Next: 2% | HP: 160 | Aura: 200 |

Attack: 53 | Defence: 73 | Sp Att: 65 | Sp Def: 77 | Speed: 47 |

Special Ability

Torrent- It increases the power of Water-type moves by 50% when the bearer's HP falls below a third of its maximum.

=====

After looking at Squirtles' moves, he devised a game plan. There was still a chance that he would fail to predict Warren's tactics, but so far, he had been predictable.

'Squirtle will start with Rain Dance. Use Charge.'

Maximus charged up his power for his next Thundershock. Squirtle's Rain Dance caused a black cloud to form above the stage, and rain began to fall steadily as a result. Lucas shook his head in disbelief when he saw the rookie mistake. Lucas was wondering how Warren had made it this far in the tournament. The way he approached his fight seemed to rely on overwhelming strength without giving any thought to strategy at all.

Squirtle was already vulnerable to Electricity, and now Rain Dance had significantly increased its power. There was no doubt that both Pokemon would soon get soaked, but Squirtle would be the one to suffer if he was struck with lightning while soaking wet.

'Quick Attack into Thundershock.' Lucas ordered.

Squirtle retreated into his shell and began spinning fast. It was Rapid Spin. Perhaps he underestimated Warren as it was the smartest move in this situation.

It was both an offensive and defensive move. Its powerful revolutions, combined with its sturdy shell, allowed it to deal a lot of damage while remaining protected. Another benefit was that he spun so fast that he was less affected by the rain. Finally, the move was mastered, giving her a great deal of control over the direction, making several possible combinations with other moves possible.

The one drawback was that it was difficult to maintain, as the revolutions could cause Squirtle to become disoriented or even cause her to faint.

Maximus executed a Quick Attack into Thundershock as the two were about to collide in the middle of the stage. Max released three destructive lightning bolts just as Squirtle was about to strike him.

Three bolts struck the Pokemon in quick succession. The first strike didn't have much effect, only causing Squirtle to slow down somewhat. The following two had a much larger impact, however. In the end, the Rapid Spin was cancelled out, and Squirtle landed back on the stage, a bit stunned but otherwise unhurt.

'Thunder Wave.'

Squirtle was unable to dodge Maximus' next move.

Squirtle has been paralysed.

Squirtle fell backwards onto its shell, her limbs comically spread out.

'Charge into Thundershock.'

Squirtle was struck by the powerful attack.

64 damage was dealt to Squirtle.

HP: 96/160

Despite its effectiveness, it didn't deal a fatal blow because Squirtles' Special Defence was high. She managed to snap out of paralysis just as Max was about to attack again. It used Withdraw to escape the perilous situation and attack Max simultaneously.

'Protect.' Lucas ordered urgently.

Max raised the shield just in time to stop Squirtles' attack, and the Pokemon stopped in mid-air as Protect disappeared.

Instead of popping out of its shell, Squirtle used the opportunity to use Withdraw.

Squirtles' Defence has been raised by one stage.

Big mistake. Max grabbed the Pokemon out of the air and aimed a Thundershock through the opening in the shell.

20 damage was dealt to Squirtle.

HP: 76/160

'Throw him away.' Lucas commanded quickly, expecting retaliation.

Maximus tossed the shell high into the air as Squirtle exploded out and executed Aqua Jet. A veil of water surrounded her as she propelled herself forward like a rocket. However, Squirtle happened to be facing upwards when she emerged, so he was shot high into the air.

The audience gasped in amazement as the Pokemon seemed to ascend towards the heavens. In contrast to the sides, there was no barrier above the stage, so there was nothing to slow down his momentum.

Charge into Thundershock.' Lucas ordered, his own eyes watching the spectacle with amazement.

Aqua Jet was spent, and Squirtle reached the summit of her ascent, twenty metres above the stage and began falling, only to be met by another Thundershock.

Critical Hit! 89 damage was dealt to Squirtle.

Squirtle has fainted.

"Squirtle," Warren cried out in anguish.

Squirtle was falling rapidly to the ground, completely helpless to protect herself from the impact. When a Pokemon faints, it cannot consciously activate its Aura, which is why most deaths occur when the Pokemon has already fainted after a battle. A Pokemon at a higher level would not have to worry about this since their bodies were already a lot stronger. Still, Squirtle was only level eight, so he would not be as protected. In the event that he landed on his head, there was the possibility that she might die.

There was no time for an official to intervene, as they had been caught off guard by the scene.

'Max, launch into the air with Quick Attack.'

Max stomped his foot on the ground and leapt into the air, activating Quick Attack simultaneously. Max rose high into the air, and as he was about to meet Squirtle, Luca commanded him to use Protect.

The shield dissipated the impact of the collision. They hung suspended in the air for just a moment before Max grabbed Squirtle, and they fell back down on the stage. Max grunted as he landed, absorbing the impact before placing Squirtle on the stage. Max lost a bit of HP, but otherwise, he looked undamaged.

There was a breathless pause before the audience erupted in applause. The scene of Squirtle ascending towards the ceiling held everyone's attention, even some trainers in the middle of their matches. They witnessed the incredible heroics as Max launched himself into the air to save the Squirtle.

The referee's mouth was hanging open, and it was only after Warren shouted at him that he raised the flag. "Squirtle is unable to battle. Lucas Walker from Pallet Town is the winner. Walk forward and shake hands to celebrate.... an awesome fight."

The barrier around the trainers was lowered, and Warren ran out onto the stage to see how Squirtle was doing.

Lucas walked onto the stage and waited for Warren to finish. The man sent his Squirtle to get treated.

"Well, that was a dramatic end to the fight," Lucas said.

Warren stood and quickly shook hands with Lucas, an expression on his face suggesting that he was performing an extremely distasteful task.

“I never thought that you would help Squirtle after I insulted you,” Warren said.

“Well, it’s not her fault that his trainer is a moron,” Lucas said cheerfully, earning a glare in return. "I must ask, though, why are you a trainer in the first place? You don't seem very passionate about your fights."

“Why do you say that?”

"I believe you made some simple mistakes in the fight, and it felt like you were going through the motions as if to complete an unpleasant task. Can you tell me why you are only beginning your career as a trainer now? You must be eighteen or nineteen years old. There is not much time left to participate in the Junior League."

“None of your business,” Warren turned around and began walking away. “And I’m not apologising for what I said earlier.”

“What a prick,” Lucas muttered under his breath.

‘Yeah, you're a prick!’ Maximus echoed, pointing at Warren's back before turning to Lucas. 'What's a prick?”

“Don’t worry about it,” Lucas said, taking out his Pokeball. "You did an excellent job out there. Tell the team about your heroics."

‘Okay.' Max replied before he disappeared.

Lucas returned to his seat and sat down. As a result of hearing Warren's rant regarding his own deficiencies, his emotions were all over the place. Although he made some fair points, the rest of what he said was utter garbage. Since he made the whole thing very public, he didn't think that Warren had the most sincere intentions.

Lucas clicked on the notification on his phone. He was able to see the gains he had made from the match.

=====

Congratulations!

The player has won the trainer battle!

Lucas has earned 173 experience + 20 trainer points.

Title: Unstoppable has increased; +24% exp gain.

Opponent: Charmander

Imara has earned 100% (70 exp) of the experience.

Opponent: Squirtle

Maximus has earned 100% (71 exp) of the experience.

=====

The experience wasn't that impressive compared to Pokemon like Butterfree. He gained a lot of experience fighting Pokemon that had evolved forms.

As round three was about to come to an end, only fifteen trainers remained in the competition. From the fourth round onwards, all of the fights will take place on stage four, one at a time. This is so that the audience can enjoy the spectacle a lot more. Lucas made his way to the stage. There were a number of trainers who had passed the third round sitting down already; among them were Misty, Nathan, and Ben. They were the three trainers that he was most worried about.

Lucas sat next to Ben. “Glad to see you haven’t been eliminated.”

“If I couldn’t come this far, then I don’t deserve to become a trainer,” Ben said ruthlessly.

Lucas winced. “Isn’t that a bit harsh?"

“Are you saying that you would have been happy to bow out in the third round?”

“That would have sucked,” Lucas admitted before turning to scope out his competition. “Who do you think is most likely to be your toughest competitor? ”

“You, Misty and Nathan,” Ben said seriously.

"Smart choices,” Lucas nodded. “I would predict the four of us ending up in the semi-finals if we don't face each other beforehand.”

After the third round ended, the mayor stepped onto the stage. The way the man strutted around, Lucas began to wonder if he was using the tournament for his own popularity instead of his son's.

“Ladies and Gentlemen. The third round is over, and the competitors have been reduced to fifteen. From this point on, every match will be hosted on this stage. Is everyone excited for the matches ahead?”

There was a cacophony of sound throughout the stadium as the crowd cheered.

“We have randomised the matchups, so I'll call out the seven matches in order."

Misty was in the first match. Nathan followed her in the next match and Ben in the fourth. When he heard about the sixth match, he almost laughed out loud. Their names were Dudley Dursley and Pier Polkiss, two familiar characters to Lucas. However, they looked nothing like their counterparts. Lucas was in the last match, so he would be waiting for a while. The final person was someone he didn’t know, but they got a free ride to the next round, where he would face Lucas if he won.

“Before we get started, match gambling is now open. You may bet on individual matches to try and earn some Pokedollars. However, if you want to compete in the high stakes, which is betting on the order of the top three finishers, then you need to get your bets in before the start of the first match. I will give you twenty minutes to do so.”

Lucas knew this was coming since it was publicised. Competitors could not make bets on the tournament, but it was so easy to get around that the rule did not even seem to exist. He transferred fifty thousand Pokemon Dollars to Jason's account earlier this morning. He told him to wait until betting started, and Lucas sent him a text with his top three predictions.

Since the matchups will no longer be randomised after this round, it meant that Misty and Nathan would meet in the next round if they won this one. Out of the two, he was leaning towards Misty; even though she only had Water Pokemon, she seemed like a better trainer than Nathan.

Ben would progress to the next round as well, and then he would face Misty. Here's where things get tricky. It was difficult for him to choose between the two since he could see both of them winning. Ultimately, he sided with his gut instinct and chose Misty.

So the final three in order would be himself, Misty and Ben. He sent a discreet text message to Jason so he could make the bet. He didn’t know if Jason and Faith would copy him and make a bet as well.

“You got the easier path to the finals,” Ben complained.

“Just lucky, I guess,” Lucas shrugged. “Think of it this way. If you overcome Misty, then you have a chance of beating me.”

“So you don’t think Nathan will win?”

“Nope,” Lucas shook his head. ‘He is a good trainer, but something tells me Misty is holding back.”

Ben frowned but said nothing.

Six matches later, there was no suspense about who had progressed. Misty, Nathan and Ben all advanced to the next round. Now it was his turn.

Lucas stepped onto the stage and faced the trainer, Mark Crosby. Although he had seen the teenager using Pikachu, he did not know what other Pokemon he might have.

Mayor Stokes was on the stage again, continuing to introduce every trainer. He began talking about Mark and describing his humble upbringing. When Lucas saw Mark's embarrassed expression, he could not help but feel sorry for him. By introducing everyone, the mayor was highlighting the differences in everyone's backgrounds. He was creating a toxic environment. It was now Lucas' turn, and he was about to be embarrassed for the exact opposite reason.

“Now, our next trainer does not need an introduction. Hailing from Pallet Town and part of the illustrious Walker family. His grandfather is the Minister of Defence, and his parents are very successful business owners. However, even with all their success, they could not—”

"Enough!" Lucas yelled, bringing gasps of surprise from the audience. “Thank you, but that is enough of an introduction. I want to start the match.”

"Of course, of course," Mayor Stokes laughed, although Lucas could tell he was displeased. "Without further ado, let us begin the battle."

Lucas shook his head in disbelief. First, it was the mayor of Pallet Town, and now it was the mayor of Terracotta Town. Were all the mayors total assholes? Were they part of some secret club or something?

The trainers said nothing to each other except to agree on a thousand Pokedollars as the wager. Lucas lost the toss and hesitated about which Pokemon to choose before deciding on Dante.

Lucas released Dante onto the stage.

‘So we are stepping in blind, huh? Dante folded his arms.

"I know he has a Pikachu, but nothing else," Lucas replied.

Mark chose a Pokeball and released his Pokemon onto the stage. It was Magnemite.

Lucas scanned the Pokemon as soon as he saw it. As he did in the last fight, he decided to continue the trend of reading their full parameters. His goal was to win his first tournament, despite the fact that it could be considered cheating. In one respect, Warren had been right; this was not an easy world to live in. In situations like these, he would act a bit selfishly.

=====

Pokemon: Magnemite | Age: 1 | Gender: - | Type: Electric, Steel | Potential: B |

Stage Two: Magnemite has entered its second growth period.

Description: Uses anti-gravity to stay suspended. Appears without warning and uses Thunder Wave and similar moves.

Stats

Level: 8 | Next: 59% | HP: 80 | Aura: 240 |

Special Ability

Sturdy - It allows the Pokémon to survive with 1 HP if attacked at full HP with an attack that would otherwise knock it out. It also prevents One-Hit-KO moves

=====

Lucas hummed. It was going to be a tough fight. Magnemite's Special Attack was not something to be taken lightly. Most of its attacks were electric-type, but it also had a steel-type move that was extremely effective against Dante as well. On the defensive side, it was strong, but it did not affect Dante since he had no physical attacks. Its major weakness was that it only had eighty HP; however, it had a lot of type defences, which included all of Dante's different attacks. Furthermore, it had one support move that raised its Special Defence. So it could be a battle of attrition despite its low HP.

The two trainers waited for the referee, who looked at both sides before lowering his flag. “Match…Start.”

‘Copy Magnemite's special ability.’

Dante has used Trace. Sturdy acquired.

Dante started the fight with Double Team.

It had occurred to him not too long ago that he could utilise the move with a lot more flexibility than he had been previously. The first time it was used in battle, it was guaranteed to exhaust one of his opponent's attacks. Therefore, he was free to execute his next move without being interrupted.

Both the original and the copy were separated, moving in two different directions. Magnemite used Thunder Wave. The lightning bolt zipped through the air and struck the copy, causing it to disappear.

'Calm Mind.' Lucas ordered.

Dante has used Calm Mind. Special Attack and Special Defence are raised by one stage.

Magnemite didn't bother trying to get closer, as it was aware that it was slower. Next, it executed Gyro Ball. The sphere whirled through the air, releasing a burst of steel-type energy. Because of its incredible rotation, it was upon Dante in an instant. However, Dante used Double Team again, and it successfully dodged another attack, giving him license to prepare another move safely.

Lucas had to be careful. Every time he used Double Team, its success rate decreased, and it failed to substitute Dante out of an attack. Although there was still a possibility that the opponent would pick the wrong target and attack the copy. However, that was only possible if both the Pokemon and its trainer had their vision obscured when Double Team was first executed.

'Calm Mind again.'

Dante has used Calm Mind. Special Attack and Special Defence are raised to two stages.

Magnemite sent out a Thundershock. Three bolts of lightning converged on Dante's position.

Dante was already dodging to one side as the attack struck the ground violently. He was already preparing the next move he would use, anticipating Lucas's next command.

'Psybeam.'

Suddenly, a purple beam of psychic energy shot toward Magnemite, who could not react in time to avoid being hit.

31 damage dealt to Magnemite. It's not very effective.

HP: 49/80

Magnemite spun through the air from the impact.

Mercilessly, Lucas ordered Dante to use Calm Mind, raising its stats once again and resetting the timer for its duration. It was at this point that Dante's Special Attack had increased by two-fold and then some.

Magnemote recovered and rushed toward Dante. His trainer seemed to realise that he needed to close the distance in order to land an attack. Although it was slower than Dante, it made up for it by being able to fly and turn into the air quickly. As long as it remained close to the centre, it had a wide range of coverage.

It stopped a few metres away from Dante, who was edging around the side of the stage, waiting for Lucas' next order.

Magnemite sent out another Thundershock; this time, Dante found it very difficult to dodge. He shifted sideways but was still grazed by the attack.

24 damage dealt to Dante.

HP: 106/130

While Dante cried out in pain, he did not appear to be too affected and continued to move around without stopping. Fortunately, Dante's Special Defence was increased by three stages; otherwise, the Magnemites' insane Special Attack would have dealt a lot more damage to him than it did.

Thundershock was again executed by Magnemite, but Dante had already adjusted to the shorter ranger by then and managed to dodge the attack.

Lucas considered using Disable but realised it would be useless as Magnemite had too many attack options under its belt. Calm Mind was on a timer, so he needed to finish the fight as quickly as possible.

'Psybeam. into another Calm Mind.' Lucas ordered.

Magnemite hastily released another Thundershock, looking to block the incoming attack. It seemed like it hadn't realised that it was vulnerable up close as well. The lightning bolts sailed above Psybeam as they crossed paths in the air before missing Dante and striking the barrier. Psybeam, however, was on target.

78 damage dealt to Magnemite. It's not very effective.

Magnemite's Endure has been activated.

HP: 1/80

Dante has used Calm Mind. Special Attack and Special Defence are raised to four stages.

Lucas grinned. He managed to reset Calm Mind's timer, and now Dante was boasting an absurd amount of Special Attack. However, he feared that if Magnemite were to be struck by the next attack, it might end up hurting him beyond repair. Forget about causing it to faint; it might die. When a Pokemon faints, there is a brief window of time where a certain amount of damage can be nullified, saving the Pokemon from death. However, if that protection were overwhelmed by a powerful attack, the Pokemon would be in a lot of trouble.

Mark seemed to agree with his sentiment, for he quickly raised his hand to recall his Pokemon.

"Magnemite has been recalled by its trainer. Ralts is the winner of the fight. Trainer on the red platform, send in your next Pokemon."

Lucas watched the time carefully. Calm Mind lasted for a minute, and his opponent had thirty seconds to send in his next Pokemon. Dante would have at least twenty seconds to use Calm Mind again or attack.

Moves that enhance stats actually have a peculiar quirk to them. The most effective way to raise their stats was to raise them one stage at a time rather than all at once. Whenever you use a stat-enhancing move, the original stat is increased by a percentage. However, if you already had an enhancement in effect, it would add that to the equation as well.

For example, the first stage increases the stat by twenty-five per cent. If you increase it by another stage, it is multiplied by one hundred and twenty-five per cent, not the original stat. Take Imara's Belly Drum as a comparison. It raises her attack by six stages instantly but only adds a percentage to her original Attack stat, skipping every increment along the way. If she raised her Attack by one stage every time until she had six stages, then her Attack would be far superior to if she had just used Belly Drum.

Of course, it takes a lot of work to set up to get the benefits, and moves like Belly Drum may be more effective in certain situations.

Mark sent out Pikachu next.

Pikachu ~ Level 7 ~ HP: 110 ~ Aura: 190

Lucas didn't bother examining the Pokemon as he was on a time crunch. As soon as the match

restarted, Pikachu executed Quick Attack, rushing forward in a blur.

'Double Team.' Lucas ordered, praying that the move didn't fail.

It seemed fortune favoured him as Pikachu struck the copy. Its momentum carried it forward until it stopped just before the barrier that was protecting Lucas.

As soon as Dante had created the copy, he had already started preparing his next attack. When Pikachu stopped, he pounced, launching another Psybeam.

It was just as Pikachu was turning around that the attack landed squarely on him.

115 damage dealt to Pikachu. It's a one-hit KO!

Pikachu has fainted.

In elation, Lucas screamed, raising his arms in the air, and soon the audience joined him in jubilation.

He advanced to the fifth round.

So, what do you think? It's a challenge writing a whole bunch of battles, lol. I can't wait to get a breather after the tournament finishes.
