Service Release + Victorious Nine
Added 2025-02-21 18:36:04 +0000 UTCThe JTFLSTORY core now covers one more game:

History
Baseball game released by Taito in 1984. The game uses the names of Japanese professional baseball teams of the time. Players who were active on their respective teams at the time also appear but with slightly different names. The batter and pitcher zoom screen was quite novel at the time, and it was a fairly authentic baseball game where the batting average and defence percentage also changed as players could be switched. However, the controls were not easy, requiring the use of an eight-way lever and six buttons.
Controls
Offence
When the pitcher throws the ball, the hitter should move the lever down to where the X mark has turned red and use the C button to hit the ball at the right moment.
To sacrifice bunt or drag bunt, press the C button briefly.
To advance a runner to base, press the button for the base you want to advance
To return all runners who are stealing or running to their original base, press A button.
Press C button before the batter stands in the batter's box to change the batter or the pitcher. Select the player you want to replace using the lever and A button.
Defence
The pitcher selects the course of the pitch with the lever and presses one of the base buttons; for a curve and shoot, straight, curve and shoot or fork while the speed bar moves up and down three times.
The infielder's catch is automatic, but the outfielder's catch is moved by operating the lever and pressing the C button.
To send the pitch to base, press the button for the base you want to send the pitch to
It has taken some effort to figure out what the many buttons were used. We still have to map the right names to the buttons in the core, though.

2025-02-22 19:33:15 +0000 UTCThanks for the updates and great work Jotego. Any news on when the control inputs will work on the NeoGeo Pocket Color core? Was working fine up until a few updates ago. None of the button inputs seem to work now. Understand it’s still in Beta.

2025-02-22 06:43:47 +0000 UTCThank you identifying the root cause. I was copy-pasting from our draft repository and it looked like it was pasting the image, but it seems to be pasting a link. I’ll change it.

2025-02-22 06:10:41 +0000 UTCDo you know who's core Lord of King (Astyanax) was running on? Because in recent updates its music became clippy in the demo screens trimming the audio when it use to finish sounds before the update.

2025-02-21 21:06:32 +0000 UTCFor the past few Patreon posts, you have been including private GitHub images, e.g. this post links to this non-public URL — is that something you can fix? https://private-user-images.githubusercontent.com/110815304/415630183-cd192e23-6680-4f21-84c2-72afc1bbe9c6.png
