2023-10-31 16:24:48 +0000 UTCMiSTer is mainly what I play arcade cores on because for me playing on a CRT feels the most authentic, but also have a Pocket. Will definitely not be picking up MARS for $700 when there's still so much untapped potential on the MiSTer.

2023-10-30 16:20:40 +0000 UTCI work on all platforms at the same time for beta cores. It is usually no extra work. The Pocket betas of MiSTer cores do not delay development of new cores on the MiSTer but actually support it.

2023-10-30 14:57:02 +0000 UTCThe pocket is fun (I do have one), but Analogue released the duo and the N64 clone (well pre order) and no OpenFPGA. They do not seem to be interested in OpenFPGA on any other platform besides the Pocket. You have to be lucky enough to get one at a normal price (or pay twice as much on eBay) since Pocket is in limited supply. How can you have products that are really great from a company that does not care about customers. At least you can get DE-10 nano.......I would concentrate on MiSTer then Pocket, and possibly Mars.

Probably impatience answering the same questions, but that could be easily remedied with a FAQ page or just more information released. The guy just gut reacts with toxicity, shooting himself in the foot by blocking not only potential customers but also content creators that could be giving him free press. It’s a red flag, if that’s how he reacts to simple questions, imagine the customer service after people have already bought it.

2023-10-29 23:55:13 +0000 UTCI have two MiSTers, a MiST, and a Pocket. Not really interested in new cores on the MiST unless they can be easily back ported..I really just use that occasionally for Amiga and STe stuff. Most interested in MiSTer, and to a slightly lesser degree, the Pocket.

If standardized dual ram is the future of mister, I’ll be happy to upgrade. But I’m sticking to the Mister for the foreseeable future.

2023-10-29 18:47:08 +0000 UTCWe have both a MiSTer and a Pocket, so technically we use both sets of cores. I voted MiSTer because that is our primary platform. The Pocket mostly stays in the box on a shelf and just gets pulled out every now and then to run updates and see if anything big has changed.
