CPS 1.5 Public Release
Added 2020-12-11 19:17:43 +0000 UTCCPS1.5 core is ready for public exposure now. Changes from the beta:
-The core is available from JTBIN now. Or you can use the update script.
-QSound is clear now. Note that it has a high dynamic range, which means that it may sound a bit low sometimes and then blast when there is action. It should sound with no hiss at 48kHz and 96kHz outputs in MiSTer.
-CPU bus accuracy improved
-FPGA internal timings are all clean
-Credits screen added
-$5+ patrons added to README file
Known issues:
-EEPROM cannot still be saved
-The audio DAC in MiST/SiDi is still a bit noisy.
-Sometimes you need to load the core a second time for it to boot up
Important notice:
I have found that some of my memory modules fail at specific points in a game. It is a systematic failure. It is likely due to insufficient supply decoupling in the SDRAM design. If you find a game crashing -other than Slam Masters- the reason is most likely the memory module.
I hope it works for the vast majority of users. I can only find out if I release it.
Enjoy!
